Rimuru's Crew Returns to the Battlefield
Developer Colopl announced via PR TIMES that its smartphone 3D action RPG Shironeko Project NEW WORLD'S will launch a second collaboration with the That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime anime on June 16, 2026. The event, titled "That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Project 2," brings four popular characters from the series into the game as gacha units.
Rimuru (voiced by Miho Okasaki), Benimaru (Makoto Furukawa), Shion (M·A·O), and Shizu (Yumiri Hanamori) will all be available through the event gacha. Players can pull once per day for free by watching an in-game video ad. The event also features an original story starring the TenSura cast within Shironeko's world.
Shironeko Originals Get TenSura Makeovers
Beyond the four anime characters, the collab dresses up existing Shironeko Project characters in TenSura-themed costumes. Gaoshii, Georg, Berlaan, and Excelia all receive collab outfits, obtainable by purchasing a "Collab Costume Character Exchange Ticket Jewel Pack" (provided the player already owns the base character).
Colopl is also re-running the original 2020 TenSura collaboration event, "That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Project," alongside the new content. Players who missed the first crossover six years ago get a second chance to play through it.
Campaigns and Giveaways
Two social media campaigns tie into the launch. The first offers 30 winners an original QUO card (worth ¥500) featuring the collab key visual. To enter, players follow both the Shironeko Project and TenSura anime accounts on X and repost the campaign post before June 19, 2026.
A second campaign gives away autographed shikishi (colored paper) signed by the voice cast. Details for each round will be posted on the Shironeko and TenSura X accounts.
Looking Ahead
The collab arrives during a busy period for the That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime franchise. Season 4 of the anime is currently airing, and the franchise's second theatrical film, That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime the Movie: Tears of the Blue Sea, opened in Japanese theaters in February 2026. The source manga by Yasuki Kawakami (based on Fuse's web novel) continues serialization in Kodansha's Monthly Shonen Sirius, with the franchise surpassing 40 million copies in circulation as of February 2023.
Shironeko Project NEW WORLD'S approaches its 12th anniversary on July 14, 2026, so fans can expect further celebrations around that milestone.
