Chiwa Saitō Is Back as Emma Woods
Chiwa Saitō (Homura Akemi in Puella Magi Madoka Magica, Hitagi Senjougahara in the Monogatari series) voices Emma Woods, Identity V's Gardener, reprising the role she plays in the TV corner. In a comment published with the announcement, Saitō said she was thrilled to return to the world of Oha Suta Daigo Gakuen and excited to find out what kind of story the anime will tell, inviting viewers to "have fun learning about Identity V together again" in the revamped corner.
Emma won't be alone. The newly released key visual puts four survivors in school uniforms, Emma among them as an upperclassman, while Jack, one of the game's hunters, stands in as the school's teacher. Casting a knife-wielding hunter as homeroom staff is exactly the kind of gag this corner runs on. Voice casting for the other characters hasn't been announced yet.
From Weekly TV Segment to Its Own Anime
Oha Suta Daigo Gakuen (roughly "Identity V Academy," a pun on the game's Japanese title Daigo Jinkaku) is a segment inside Oha Suta, TV Tokyo's long-running weekday-morning variety show for elementary schoolers. The corner launched in January 2026 as a weekly classroom-style feature where the show's hosts learn how to play NetEase's Identity V, the 1-vs-4 asymmetric survival game that has passed 400 million users worldwide.
According to a Comic Natalie report, the short anime version arrives around late November 2026 and runs four episodes, with animation production by TypeZERO. Rather than the game's survivors-versus-hunter chases, it depicts the everyday school life of Emma and the other characters, keeping the corner's classroom framing.
The anime news comes packaged with a second season of the corner itself, which returns to Oha Suta on September 8, 2026. Per the press release from ShoPro, the Shogakukan-Shueisha production company behind the show, season 2 has host Subaru Kimura and the show's kid regulars, the Oha Kids, trying out the game's new modes and digging into how they play.
Looking Ahead
The next date to circle is September 8, when the corner's second season starts, followed by the short anime's premiere around the end of November. Both air inside Oha Suta on the TV Tokyo network, and no international broadcast or streaming plans have been announced. There's also no official trailer yet; the reveal shipped with a key visual only.
The game itself is the easy entry point for overseas fans: Identity V is available globally in English on mobile and PC, so the characters trading chase scenes for classrooms will be familiar faces. Whether more of the game's large survivor and hunter roster joins Emma and Jack on the class register is something we'll find out when the episodes air.
