Karasuno's Rivals Made the Watermelon Cut
The line runs on two pieces of art, and neither one is a Karasuno-only affair. The newly drawn summer set gives a watermelon to six characters: Hinata, Kageyama, and Tsukishima from Karasuno, Nekoma's Kuroo and Kenma, and Fukurodani's Bokuto. It's the cross-team friend group the fandom already treats as a unit, now in seasonal form.
The second piece is a key visual with Hinata and Kageyama out front and six more players sprinting toward the viewer behind them: Tsukishima, Kenma, Bokuto, Kuroo, plus Inarizaki setter Atsumu Miya and Kamomedai's Korai Hoshiumi. According to Japanese anime news site Anime Anime, both illustrations spread across a lineup that includes bangs clips (small hair clips for pinning back your bangs), stickers, and tin badges.
Preorders are open now, and every item in the line ships in late September 2026. The report doesn't name a price range for individual items.
A Merch Wave Riding a ¥20 Billion Movie
Haikyu!!, Haruichi Furudate's volleyball manga serialized in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump, has been an anime fixture since the TV series debuted in 2014. The franchise is in the middle of a packed stretch: Haikyu!! The Dumpster Battle opened in Japan on February 16, 2024 and went on to pass ¥20 billion (approx. $130 million) at the worldwide box office.
Two follow-ups are already locked for 2027. Haikyu!! The Movie: VS. The Little Giant will put Karasuno against Hoshiumi's Kamomedai in theaters, while the special anime Haikyu!! Bakemono-tachi no Iku Tokoro (Where Monsters Go) covers the Fukurodani vs. Mujinazaka match on the broadcast side. That makes the new key visual a small preview of coming attractions: Hoshiumi, the "Little Giant" himself, is right there in the sprint line next to Hinata's crew.
Looking Ahead
The merchandise ships in late September 2026, with preorders already live in Japan; no international sales route was mentioned in the announcement. For everything else, 2027 is the year to circle, with both VS. The Little Giant and Where Monsters Go dated only to that year so far. If you need a rewatch before then, the Haikyu!!
