What's Inside the Collector's Edition

The Blu-ray BOX bundles all six episodes of Requiem for Vengeance with both Japanese and English audio tracks and subtitles. On top of the main disc, a bonus disc includes 3D model archives of the show's mobile suits, making-of footage, cast and key staff interviews, and two pilot films produced during the series' development.

Physical extras round out the package. A 24-page booklet ships alongside a two-disc original soundtrack CD. Composer Wilbert Roget II (Call of Duty: WWII, Helldivers 2) scored the series, and the Blu-ray marks the first standalone release of his Gundam soundtrack. The storage box itself features original artwork by mechanical supervisor Kimitoshi Yamane, whose design credits span decades of Gundam projects including The 08th MS Team, Gundam SEED, and Hathaway's Flash.

Pre-orders are open now through major Japanese retailers. The product code is BCXA-2067.

The One Year War's European Front

Requiem for Vengeance is a six-episode original anime set during the One Year War, the conflict at the center of the original 1979 Mobile Suit Gundam. The story zeros in on the European theater, 11 months into the war. A Federation force has seized a Zeon-occupied base in Eastern Europe, and a mixed Zeon battalion moves to retake it. At the center of the action is the Red Wolf squad, a mobile suit platoon freshly deployed from space and led by Iria Solari.

The series is notable for its production pipeline. Director Erasmus Brosdau and studios Sunrise and SAFEHOUSE built the entire show in Unreal Engine 5, Epic Games' real-time 3D engine. The result is a visual style between traditional anime and Western CG animation.

The Japanese voice cast is stacked. Nanako Mori leads as Solari, joined by Takeo Ōtsuka (Jinshi in The Apothecary Diaries, Aquamarine Hoshino in Oshi no Ko), Hōchū Ōtsuka (Jiraiya in Naruto), and several other established voice actors including Shōya Ishige, Shunichi Maki, Ryūnosuke Watanuki, Maki Kawase, Hiroshi Naka, and Kazuki Ura.

Looking Ahead

All six episodes of Mobile Suit Gundam: Requiem for Vengeance are currently streaming on Netflix worldwide, so international fans can watch before deciding on the physical release. The Blu-ray BOX drops August 26, 2026. As of now, no Western retailer listing or international pricing has been announced, though import-friendly shops like CDJapan and AmiAmi typically stock Bandai Namco Filmworks releases. The dual-language audio and subtitle tracks make this a region-friendly package for English-speaking collectors even as an import.
