San Diego Gets the Reveal
The stage for the announcement is "GUNDAM Showcase 2026 – Unveil the Next Gundam," a panel running July 23, 2026 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. local time in Room 6BCF of the San Diego Convention Center. According to the announcement on the official Gundam site, the panel welcomes special guests from Japan and unveils details of the new Gundam anime. Beyond the new anime itself, the session will also cover where the franchise is headed next, including planned developments both inside and outside Japan.
Attendees get a bonus for showing up in person: goodie bags stuffed with assorted Gundam items will be handed out at the panel in limited quantities.

GUNDAM ROGUE ORBIT and the Rest of the Booth
Gundam is also setting up a booth on the SDCC show floor. Headlining the display is GUNDAM ROGUE ORBIT, an all-new action game slated for release in 2027, alongside exhibits tied to the anime announcements coming out of the Showcase panel.
The booth will also show off the latest Gundam merchandise from the Bandai Namco Group, including items from the new anime, and set up photo spots featuring the Gunpla-kun character and a Gundam statue. Event-exclusive Gunpla kits, figures, and handouts round out the lineup, and the official announcement mentions workshops are planned at the venue as well.
