The Lycoris Recoil Leads Are Sticking Around
Victoria of Many Faces (手札が多めのビクトリア) stars Chika Anzai as Victoria Sellers, a retired spy trying to live quietly, and Shion Wakayama as Nonna, the young girl she takes in. Anzai and Wakayama are also the lead duo of Lycoris Recoil, where they voice Chisato Nishikigi and Takina Inoue, so the renewal keeps that pairing on the air a while longer. Yōhei Azakami rounds out the central trio as Jeffrey Asher, the knight captain who guards the capital and gradually becomes part of their makeshift family.
According to a report from Japanese games-and-anime outlet Dengeki Online, the special episode and Season 2 were announced as the first season's final episode aired in Japan on September 1, alongside a new visual. Details on both projects, including formats and dates, are still under wraps.
A Former Spy Starts Over in Ashberry
The series adapts Syuu's light novel of the same name, published under KADOKAWA's MF Books label. The story follows Chloe, a spy with a full toolkit of disguise and combat skills who fakes her own disappearance and rebuilds her life as an ordinary woman named Victoria in the kingdom of Ashberry. The quiet new start keeps getting interrupted, since those old skills are too useful to stay hidden. She ends up drawing the attention of the kingdom's second prince, among others. The Japanese title roughly translates to "Victoria with a large hand of cards," a nod to her oversized skill set.
Nobukage Kimura directs the adaptation at Studio Deen, with Naohiro Fukushima overseeing series scripts and Mina Ōsawa handling character designs. The nine-episode first season aired Tuesdays on TV Tokyo and its affiliates from July 7, 2026, with Crunchyroll streaming it internationally as it aired.
The Recap Special Airs September 8
Before anything new arrives, Japanese viewers get a look back. The recap special Kore made to Kore kara (これまでとこれから, roughly "Up Until Now and From Here On") airs Tuesday, September 8 at 24:30 JST in the show's usual late-night slot. Per Dengeki Online, it retraces the arc of the first season: how Victoria, Nonna, and Jeffrey met, how they were pulled apart, and how they found one another again and became a family.

There is no broadcast window yet for either the special episode or Season 2, and no word on what form the special will take. The announcement points fans to the show's official site and X account for further updates.
