The TV anime of Kizuguchi to Hōtai (傷口と包帯) announced its main cast and released a first theme visual and teaser PV on October 16, 2026. The series premieres Saturday, January 9, 2027 at 26:00 JST (2:00 a.m. on January 10) in the ANiMAZiNG!!! block on ABC TV and the TV Asahi national network, according to a press release carried by Famitsu.
Hisako Kanemoto voices the protagonist, Riyo Washizu, the daughter of the boss of the Washizu-gumi, a yakuza organization that holds the whole Kanto region. Chikahiro Kobayashi voices Gō Kiritani, the young lieutenant of a group directly under the Washizu-gumi, who is ordered to serve as her caretaker. Riyo is aroused by the sight of strong people growing weak, a kink she names "yowarā" herself.
The visual and the teaser both take "love" as their theme, and the visual features newly drawn art of the two leads. The release describes the teaser as a run of notable manga scenes built around Kiritani as the one who is wounded and Riyo as the one who bandages him, and says visuals and PVs will be unveiled over four consecutive weeks, with further cast announced along the way.
AT-X will carry an advance broadcast at 23:00 JST on January 9, with repeats Tuesdays at 29:00 and Saturdays at 8:00. ABEMA streams from 26:30 JST that night, which the release bills as the earliest streaming. An official TikTok account for the anime also opened on October 16, and the official site was partly updated.
Both leads sent comments with the announcement. Kanemoto wrote that the characters' expressions are lovely and that she went in hoping to convey their distinctive inner lives through her voice as well, adding, in translation: "Knowing your own kink means squarely facing yourself. Do you have a kink?" Kobayashi wrote, in translation: "We record this show in the morning, and maybe because I shout so much, I get through the whole day feeling good."
Umihoshi Nanai's manga runs biweekly on Mondays in Kodansha's Getsumaga Kichi on the Comic DAYS site, and five collected volumes are on sale. Miyuki Ishida directs at J.C.Staff, with scripts by Susumu Yamakawa and character designs by Natsuki Ōyama.
