Six Characters, Six Flavors, Six Colors
Poppin Cider is marketed in Japan as an oshi-katsu drink, meaning soda designed for showing support for your favorite character, and the Re:Zero lineup takes that literally. Subaru gets a bright orange mango cider. Emilia's is a milky-white yogurt flavor, billed as light and easy to drink. Rem pairs with a pale blue lemonade cider, while her sister Ram gets a pink strawberry cream soda. Beatrice comes in a yellow pineapple flavor, and Julius rounds out the set with a tart purple blueberry cider.
Each bottle is a 500ml carbonated drink with no fruit juice, and pricing is open, so individual stores set their own prices. There's a collectible hook as well: each character has three sticker designs, and bottles come with one at random. That's eighteen stickers across the full set, for anyone planning to chase them all.
The Wasabi Ramune Company Is Involved
Poppin Cider is a joint effort between Plus One, a Tokyo company specializing in playful everyday goods, and Kimura Drink, a beverage maker from Shizuoka Prefecture. If that second name rings a bell, Kimura is the company behind wasabi ramune and curry ramune, two of Japan's most infamous novelty sodas. By that standard, the Re:Zero flavors sound downright tame.
The line has also been busy collecting anime licenses. According to Plus One's release history, Poppin Cider has already run an Oshi no Ko series with six character flavors in February 2026, a Wind Breaker series in 2025, and several Sanrio Characters collaborations. Re:Zero is the newest franchise on that list.
Where to Find It
Per the PR TIMES release, the sodas are sold at Don Quijote, Japan's sprawling discount store chain. Sales started September 1, 2026, with each location putting bottles out as stock arrives, so timing varies store to store. Some branches won't carry the line at all, and since the run is limited, sold-out shelves are a real possibility.
Looking Ahead
The bottles carry the copyright line of the Re:Zero Season 4 production committee, and Season 4 began airing in April 2026, so the collab lands while the anime is front of mind. For fans outside Japan, this is a Don Quijote exclusive with no international release announced. If you want a Rem blue lemonade on your shelf, it's an in-Japan hunt or a proxy-shopping job.
