Luffy Keeps the Yellow, Zoro Goes All Black

The heart of the collab is Timberland's signature 6-Inch Premium Waterproof Boot, remade in two character editions. Luffy's model starts from the brand's classic yellow boot and adds his pirate flag stamped into the heel side, newly drawn collab art embossed on the tongue, and red laces in Luffy's signature color. Zoro's edition flips the base to black, carries the same heel-side pirate flag and embossed tongue art, and swaps in green laces for a heavier, more subdued look.

Both pairs tie into a set of illustrations drawn specifically for this collaboration. One shows Luffy carrying the yellow boot around like an accessory, another puts Zoro wearing the pair, and a third has Tony Tony Chopper hoisting Timberland's tree logo.

Three Tees Carry the New Artwork

All three illustrations also land on short-sleeve graphic T-shirts priced at ¥9,350 (around $63). Each design prints the artwork large across the back, while the front left chest pairs the Timberland logo with the matching character's pirate flag. The Zoro and Chopper shirts come in white, and the Luffy shirt comes in black.

A Store Reopening Sparked the Collab

According to Japanese anime news site Anime Anime, the collaboration celebrates the reopening of the ONE PIECE Mugiwara Store Nagoya, the franchise's official merchandise shop, inside Nagoya PARCO, a shopping complex where Timberland operates a store of its own.

The rollout is staggered. The boots go on sale September 4, 2026 at the Timberland Nagoya PARCO store, then expand on September 7 to Timberland Boutique Tokyo in Daikanyama and the Timberland Sapporo PARCO store. The T-shirts also start September 4 at Timberland Nagoya PARCO and the Mugiwara Store Nagoya, before reaching all 10 Mugiwara Store locations nationwide and all three Timberland stores on September 7.

It is a busy stretch for the franchise. Eiichiro Oda's manga has run in Weekly Shonen Jump since 1997 and has topped 500 million copies in circulation worldwide, following Luffy and the Straw Hat crew as they hunt the treasure left behind by Pirate King Gol D. Roger. The TV anime, on air since 1999, celebrated its 25th anniversary in October 2024, closed out the Egghead arc in late December 2025, and has been airing the Elbaph arc since April 2026.

Looking Ahead

Everything announced so far is Japan-only. All of the stores carrying the collab, from Nagoya PARCO to the Daikanyama and Sapporo locations, are in Japan, and no international release has been announced. Import shops and proxy services are the likely route for overseas collectors for now.

The anime itself is easier to reach: the Elbaph arc has been streaming on Crunchyroll since its April 5, 2026 premiere, so international fans can catch up on the storyline this collab is riding alongside. The boots hit shelves September 4, three days before the wider rollout on September 7.
