From Theater to TV in One Week
Mr. Osomatsu's fourth season wrapped its TV run back in September 2025 with 12 episodes. But a 13th was always in the cards. Titled "The Matsuno Ten," the bonus episode screened exclusively in Japanese theaters from June 6 through 11 as part of the "10th Anniversary Osomatsusan Special 6Days" event, Japanese entertainment news site Comic Natalie reported. Now it's making the jump to streaming and broadcast just days later.
Streaming began June 12 across Japanese platforms, with the episode's TV premiere set for June 13 at 9:30 AM on TV Tokyo's six-station network. An AT-X broadcast follows on June 20 at 8:30 PM.
What We Know About "The Matsuno Ten"
Newly released scene cuts offer a hint at the episode's content. The images show all six Matsuno brothers dressed up in various outfits and clutching microphones, suggesting some kind of performance or variety segment. Given the title's wordplay on "ten" and the franchise's milestone anniversary, a celebratory send-up fits the show's brand of absurdist comedy.
The full returning cast is back for the episode. Takahiro Sakurai voices Osomatsu, Yuichi Nakamura plays Karamatsu, Hiroshi Kamiya is Choromatsu, Jun Fukuyama handles Ichimatsu, Daisuke Ono takes Jyushimatsu, and Miyu Irino rounds out the sextuplets as Todomatsu. Pierrot Films, the higher-end production label under Studio Pierrot, produced Season 4.
Mr. Osomatsu reimagines Fujio Akatsuka's classic Osomatsu-kun manga by aging its identical sextuplet protagonists into adulthood. The joke is that they haven't grown up at all. They're NEETs, they're hopeless, and their attempts at romance, employment, and basic adulting are reliably catastrophic. The series has run four seasons and a theatrical film since its surprise-hit debut in October 2015.
Looking Ahead
International fans can watch Mr. Osomatsu Season 4 on Crunchyroll, which has been streaming the season with English subtitles since its July 2025 premiere. Crunchyroll has also picked up Episode 13, making "The Matsuno Ten" available to audiences across North America, Europe, Latin America, Oceania, and other territories. The 10th anniversary celebrations included a major cast event on June 6 that brought together 11 members of the voice cast, so the franchise is clearly going out with a bang this summer.
