A Yuji Stamp on a 150-Year-Old Butcher's Pancakes
The company behind this one is not a typical anime licensee. Kakiyasu Honten (柿安本店) opened as a beef hot-pot restaurant in Kuwana, Mie Prefecture in 1871, and it still trades on that history as a meat specialist. Kōfukudō (口福堂) is its wagashi arm, launched in November 2005 to sell ohagi, dango, daifuku and other traditional Japanese sweets out of supermarkets and shopping malls across Japan.
According to the company's PR TIMES release, the "Anime Jujutsu Kaisen 5th Anniversary Dorayaki" is the brand's first Jujutsu Kaisen tie-in. A dorayaki is two small pancakes sandwiching sweet red bean paste, and Kōfukudō's version is a house staple. The collab edition has protagonist Yuji Itadori's face branded into the pancake skin (the release describes it as his "dignified" expression, so expect serious Yuji rather than goofy Yuji) and comes in packaging built around the anime's fifth-anniversary key art. Each one costs ¥291 including tax.
The cake underneath is Kōfukudō's regular recipe. The filling is 100 percent Tokachi azuki beans from Hokkaido, cooked at the company's own factory, and the batter uses eggs shipped direct from contracted farms in Mie.
Kōfukudō has been down this road before with a different Shonen Jump property. Earlier releases on the same PR TIMES page show the brand sold a Demon Slayer "Infinity Castle Dorayaki" in July 2025, and parent Kakiyasu has run several Demon Slayer bento tie-ins. Jujutsu Kaisen is the second anime to get the branding-iron treatment.
The Clear File Is the Real Collectible
The dorayaki is the product, but the bonus is what will move units. Buy three and you get an A4 clear file (a plastic document folder) with a Kōfukudō-exclusive illustration: chibi versions of the Tokyo Jujutsu High first-years Yuji Itadori, Megumi Fushiguro and Nobara Kugisaki, plus their teacher Satoru Gojo, all eating dorayaki at snack time. The file has a different design on the front and back.
The fine print matters here. The clear file runs only while stock lasts, and once the planned quantity is gone, sales of the dorayaki with the clear file end. The release also warns that some stores may not carry it, that the sales period could change without notice, and that the company refuses purchases intended for resale.
Where and When to Buy
The advance sale on Tuesday, September 29, 2026 covers nine stores, mostly inside LaLaport shopping malls: LaLaport Kashiwanoha, LaLaport Izumi, LaLaport Fujimi, LaLaport Tachikawa Tachihi, LaLaport Shonan Hiratsuka, LaLaport Nagoya Minato Aquls, LaLaport Numazu, LaLaport Ebina and Lazona Kawasaki Plaza. That spread covers the Tokyo suburbs, Kanagawa, Shizuoka, Nagoya and Osaka, so fans in greater Tokyo, Nagoya and Osaka have a shot at day one.
From Tuesday, October 13, the dorayaki rolls out to Kōfukudō stores nationwide, along with Kakiyasu's sister brand Kakijirō (柿次郎).
Where the Anime Stands at Five Years
The anniversary being celebrated is the TV anime produced by MAPPA (the studio behind Chainsaw Man), which premiered on the MBS/TBS network in 2020. Season 2 covered the Hidden Inventory and Shibuya Incident arcs in 2023. The release then recaps a busy 2025 in theaters: a Hidden Inventory compilation film in May, a revival run of Jujutsu Kaisen 0 in October (the film's worldwide gross stands at ¥26.5 billion, roughly $175 million), and a November double bill pairing a special edit of Shibuya Incident with the first two episodes of Season 3.
Season 3, Culling Game Part 1, started on MBS/TBS in January 2026, adapting the death game set up by Kenjaku across ten cursed-spirit-infested colonies. Season 4, Culling Game Part 2, is officially in production.
On the manga side, Gege Akutami's original run in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump lasted from March 2018 to September 2024, and the series has passed 150 million copies in circulation worldwide including digital. The near-future spin-off Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo (呪術廻戦≡), written by Akutami with art by Yuji Iwasaki, ran as a short serialization from September 2025 and is complete in three volumes.
Looking Ahead
The dorayaki itself is Japan-only, with no overseas sales mentioned in the release. For fans outside Japan, the more relevant dates are on the anime side: Season 3 streams on Crunchyroll worldwide excluding Asia, and Season 4 has a teaser trailer out but no premiere date yet.
The manga is published in English by Viz Media and is readable on the Shonen Jump app and Shueisha's MANGA Plus service, where Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo is also available. Fans in Japan on September 29 should head for one of the nine advance-sale stores, because the clear file will not wait around.
