A Glamping Collab Built for Solo Adventurers

THE FARM, an agricultural resort in Katori, Chiba Prefecture, has expanded its ongoing Frieren: Beyond Journey's End collaboration with a plan designed for guests traveling alone. The original collab, titled "Memories Woven, A Journey of Stars and Bonfire" (思い出を紡ぐ、星と焚き火の旅路), launched as a group-oriented glamping experience. Now, responding to guest requests, THE FARM has added a dedicated solo traveler option that includes one night's stay with two meals (BBQ dinner included) in a Frieren-themed collab room.

The solo plan runs from July 17 through October 16, 2026. Bookings opened on June 8.

What the Collab Includes

The collaboration wraps THE FARM's outdoor setting in the quiet, contemplative mood of the anime. Guests can sit by a bonfire under open skies, a fitting match for a series built around long journeys and fleeting moments.

Beyond the themed room, the collab features a photo spot where visitors can pose as if being swallowed by one of the series' infamous mimics. A statue of the hero Himmel is on display, along with a "Mercure-style pudding" inspired by the show. Guests also receive collab-exclusive mini flags featuring newly drawn illustrations of the cast.

The solo plan is positioned as beginner-friendly glamping. Staff support is available throughout the stay, making it closer to a hotel experience than a rugged camping trip. THE FARM pitched it as a "treat yourself" trip for fans who want to soak in the world of the series without coordinating group schedules.

About Frieren: Beyond Journey's End

For those unfamiliar, the series follows Frieren, an elven mage who spent a decade helping the hero Himmel and his party defeat the Demon King. Centuries later, long after her human companions have aged and passed, Frieren sets out on a new journey to understand the human emotions she once overlooked. She's joined by Fern, a young mage raised by her former companion Heiter, and Stark, a warrior trained by another old ally, Eisen.

The manga, written by Kanehito Yamada and illustrated by Tsukasa Abe, is serialized in Shogakukan's Weekly Shonen Sunday and has surpassed 35 million copies in circulation. It has won multiple major awards, including the Manga Taisho 2021 grand prize and the 25th Tezuka Osamu Cultural Prize's New Creator Award.

The TV anime's first season ran from September 2023 to March 2024, with Season 2 airing from January to March 2026. Both seasons streamed internationally on Crunchyroll. A third season, covering the Golden Land arc, is confirmed for October 2027 on Nippon TV.

Looking Ahead

The solo glamping plan is available through October 16, running through summer and into early fall. THE FARM also offers the collaboration through its hometown tax (furusato nozei) program, with pair lodging vouchers available as a return gift.

For international fans planning a Japan trip, THE FARM is located in Katori, Chiba Prefecture, roughly 90 minutes from central Tokyo. The collab's special site has full details and booking links.

On the anime side, Season 3 doesn't arrive until October 2027, but both existing seasons are streaming on Crunchyroll worldwide. The source manga is published in English by VIZ Media, with 14 volumes available so far.
