Chainsaw Man Cafe Based on Reze's Coffee Shop Opens Oct. 1

Six Dishes, Six Scenes From the Film

The pitch here is not just "Chainsaw Man branding on a latte." According to a report from Japanese anime news site Anime Hack, the café is modeled on Café Nido (喫茶二道), the coffee shop where Reze works part-time in the Reze Arc movie, and each headline menu item maps to a moment from MAPPA's film.

The sandwich, listed as "Sandwich: A Single Flower," recreates the phone-booth scene where Denji and Reze first meet. The "Café Nido Fried Rice" is a straight lift of the fried rice served at the shop in the movie. A salsiccia-and-cheese pasta subtitled "Footprints on the Shore" nods to the film's final beach scene, and the "Bouquet Cake" is built around the scene of Denji waiting for Reze.

Rounding out the lineup are a "Summer Festival Dessert Plate: Fireworks" and a Pochita parfait, plus Pochita-motif drinks. The source describes the parfait as a mini parfait, so expect something closer to a dessert accent than a full sundae. All product photos in the announcement are marked as concept images, so the plated versions may differ.

Merch, Reservations, and the Three Venues

The café also sells original goods based on newly drawn illustrations: acrylic stands, random pin badges in six designs, dolomite coasters, and a Pochita glass. The same merch line will be sold through an online shop on the café's official site, which is useful if you cannot make it to one of the three cities.

Advance reservations are open on that site. The booking fee is ¥660 including tax, and it comes with a reservation-exclusive bonus item. The source does not specify what the bonus is.

The three locations are all pop-up branches of the BOX cafe&space chain, which runs numbered collaboration-café spaces inside major shopping complexes:

Note that Osaka opens a week later than the other two but closes on the same day, so the Umeda run is a month rather than the full five-plus weeks.

What the Film Is

Chainsaw Man - The Movie: Reze Arc is the theatrical follow-up to MAPPA's 2022 TV anime. It adapts the manga storyline in which Denji (voiced by Kikunosuke Toya), the devil hunter with a devil's heart who transforms into Chainsaw Man, meets a girl named Reze after taking shelter from a sudden downpour in the middle of a giddy date with his crush Makima (Tomori Kusunoki). Café Nido is where that relationship plays out, which is why a coffee shop, of all things, is the natural setting for this tie-in.

The manga by Tatsuki Fujimoto is published by Shueisha in Japan and by Viz Media in English.

The Tokyo and Nagoya cafés open October 1, 2026, with Osaka joining October 8; everything wraps November 8. Reservations are live now on the official site, and booking early for weekend slots is the safe move.

International fans who want to rewatch the scenes behind the menu can do so: Chainsaw Man - The Movie: Reze Arc made its exclusive streaming debut on Crunchyroll in spring 2026, following its theatrical release in September 2025. There is no word on the café or its merch traveling outside Japan, but the online goods shop on the café site is the place to watch for that.
