Two Days of Free Stages on the MIYASHITA PARK Rooftop
The free-stage program runs across both days on a special stage set up on the fourth-floor rooftop of MIYASHITA PARK, the park-and-mall complex in central Shibuya. According to Japanese anime news site Anime Anime, Saturday, September 19 covers Akane-banashi, Iron Wok Jan, Jaadugar: A Witch in Mongolia, Tougen Anki: Dark Demon of Paradise and Seiyu to Yoasobi 2026, ABEMA's own voice-actor variety show.
Sunday, September 20 is the bigger day on paper: The Apothecary Diaries, Smoking Behind the Supermarket with You, That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Season 4, Though I Am an Inept Villainess and Hiromu Arakawa's Daemons of the Shadow Realm, plus a SHIBUYA ANIME BASE stage.
The first guest announcements are already substantial. Akane-banashi sends Anna Nagase, the voice of rakugo apprentice Akane herself, together with Takuya Eguchi and Rie Takahashi. Tougen Anki brings Kazuki Ura, Shōgo Sakata and Gakuto Kajiwara. The Apothecary Diaries stage features Aoi Yūki and Takeo Ōtsuka, who voice Maomao and Jinshi, alongside Tatsumaru Tachibana. Miho Okasaki, Rimuru herself, appears for That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime with Megumi Toyoguchi, among other guests.
A good chunk of the lineup is airing right now. Iron Wok Jan, Jaadugar: A Witch in Mongolia, Smoking Behind the Supermarket with You and Though I Am an Inept Villainess all premiered in July as part of the Summer 2026 season.
GOALOUS5 Returns to Ebisu for a Premium Stage
Separate from the free rooftop program, the five-member voice-actor group GOALOUS5 hosts a special talk stage on September 19 at EBiS303, an event hall in Tokyo's Ebisu district, with two shows that day. The unit of Kentarō Kumagai, Shōhei Komatsu, Junta Terashima, Shūgo Nakamura and Toshinari Fukamachi also appeared at last year's festival, and this one is billed as a premium stage rather than part of the free programming.
Ticketing opened alongside the announcement. The first advance lottery for venue tickets runs through 11:59 p.m. Japan time on August 3, and general first-come, first-served sales start at noon on August 15.
From a Kabukicho Debut to 60,000 Visitors
ABEMA Anime Fest launched in September 2024 around the Tokyu Kabukicho Tower in Shinjuku, then moved to the MIYASHITA PARK area of Shibuya for its second year. The 2025 edition drew more than 60,000 visitors to the venue and topped 610,000 total views on ABEMA's own stream.
For year three, Anime Anime reports the theme is "アニメの“好き”に、もっと入り込もう," roughly "get even deeper into the anime you love," with exclusive photo spots, merchandise and character meet-and-greets planned around the stages. The event's full name is "ABEMA Anime Fest 2026 supported by Comic Cmoa," after the Japanese e-book store signed on as special supporter.
Looking Ahead
ABEMA is calling this the first wave of works and guests, so more stage announcements look likely before the September 19 opening. The company hasn't said yet whether the 2026 stages will stream the way last year's programming did.
International fans can catch up on most of the lineup ahead of the event. That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Season 4 has been airing since April, and it streams on Crunchyroll along with Daemons of the Shadow Realm, Tougen Anki: Dark Demon of Paradise and Jaadugar: A Witch in Mongolia. The festival itself remains an in-person Shibuya event, with the first ticket lottery closing August 3 and general sales starting August 15.
