Horikoshi Drew the Poll's Top 10, and Now It's a Merch Line

The shop's key visual traces back to WORLD BEST HERO, the worldwide character popularity vote held in 2024 after the manga wrapped its final chapter. Roughly 6.12 million votes came in, and Katsuki Bakugo took first place with 1,647,611 of them, beating Izuku Midoriya and Shoto Todoroki, per the final results. The rest of the top 10 rounded out with Shota Aizawa, Eijiro Kirishima, Endeavor, Hawks, Dabi, Tomura Shigaraki, and Neito Monoma. The back half skews villain-heavy, which says a lot about how this fanbase votes.

Series creator Kohei Horikoshi drew brand-new illustrations of all ten winners, and the official announcement confirms the shop's newest "Jukketsu" visual (十傑, "the Top Ten") is based on that art. New products using the visual go on sale when the shop opens. TOHO animation also plans to announce additional items using previously released Jukketsu-series visuals at a later date, so the lineup will keep growing after launch.

Five Stops, Four Months, Plus an Online Store

The pop-up, officially titled My Hero Academia 10th Anniversary SHOP Jukketsu Shūketsu presented by TOHO animation, runs mostly through locations tied to Marui, the Japanese department store chain whose anime floors regularly host this kind of event. The full schedule:

  • Shibuya Modi, 7F Marui no Anime (Tokyo): August 28 to September 13, 2026
  • Hakata Marui, 7F event space (Fukuoka): October 3 to October 18, 2026
  • Smark Isesaki, 3F Smark Hall (Gunma Prefecture): October 31 to November 8, 2026
  • Namba Marui, 5F event space (Osaka): November 20 to December 6, 2026
  • Nagoya Central Park underground mall event space by Marui: December 19 to December 27, 2026

Can't make it to any of those? TOHO animation STORE ONLINE, TOHO animation's official web shop, starts taking orders the same day the Shibuya location opens, August 28 at 11:00 a.m. JST. The announcement carries the standard disclaimer that dates and details can change, so double-check before planning a trip.

Looking Ahead

The Shibuya opening on August 28, 2026 is the next concrete date, with online orders opening at 11:00 a.m. JST that morning. After that, watch for the follow-up reveal of new merchandise using the earlier Jukketsu visuals, which the official site says is coming but hasn't dated yet.

The shop lands in the middle of a busy anniversary year for the anime, which marked its 10th with the PLUS ULTRA MOVIE tribute video that TOHO animation released on YouTube on June 16, 2026. The announcement doesn't mention overseas shipping or international versions of the shop, so for now, fans outside Japan are left with the online store or proxy services.
