Strelitzia in Full Bloom at Zepp DiverCity

The Maebashi Witches — the voice actress idol unit formed by the main cast of Sunrise's (Mobile Suit Gundam, Cowboy Bebop) original anime — brought their solo concert "STRAIGHT! REACH!! CHEER!!!" to Zepp DiverCity Tokyo on May 24 for an afternoon performance packed with album tracks, solo showcases, and one crowd-shaking debut.

The concert supported the group's 3rd album Strelitzia, released in March, and marked their return to a Zepp-scale venue after their December show at Zepp Haneda. All five members — Kasuga Sakura (春日さくら) as Akagi Yuina, Sakikawa Hinano (咲川ひなの) as Niisato Azu, Motomura Rena (本村玲奈) as Kitahara Kyouka, Minami Haruka (三波春香) as Mimata Choco, and Momose Honami (百瀬帆南) as Kamiizumi Mai — took the stage through individual doors in new "Gardening Form" costumes, each entrance drawing a wave of cheers from the crowd.

From Anime Anthems to Solo Spotlights

The first half opened with the group's signature "Sugo-sugi Maebashi Witches!" backed by a new montage pulling footage through the TV anime's final episode. According to Comic Natalie's concert report, the set then moved through fan-favorite insert songs from the 2025 anime run — "Shabon Tension!", "You Are My World", "Meteor Shower", and "Matsuri day PARTY!!" — all performed at full length for the first time at a live event.

A video segment recapping the storyline around the character Eiko led into the emotional ballad "Ima wa Chiisana Tsubomi demo," which hushed the venue before the first half closed with the anime's ending theme "Sorezore no Door" — each member exiting through the same door she'd entered, a neat bit of staging symmetry.

The second half belonged to Strelitzia's solo tracks. Sakikawa opened with "Monochrome ⊂ Violet," commanding the stage with a cool dance routine. Momose followed with the mellow, rap-inflected "Maishin ↓↘→ Step by Step," the audience swaying light-blue penlights in sync. Minami delivered "Fuwa Fuwa no Yakusoku" with force, channeling her character Choco's growth arc from the anime. Motomura brought intensity to "Shitsugen no Kishi," a track that trades Kyouka's earlier enka-flavored Blu-ray bonus song for something sleeker. And Kasuga closed the solo block with "Gungun Susumo?!", radiating the relentless optimism of her character Yuina to a standing ovation.

A New Song Steals the Show

A mid-set comedy skit — a sentai-style roll call dubbed "Gardening Form Witches!" — got laughs before the group pivoted back to Strelitzia's group numbers. "Uchira no Hanaya wa Damatte Nai!" cranked the energy back up, "FLOWER SUPER POWER" kept it there, and then came the set's biggest moment: the live debut of "Tenki Ame Wonderland." Comic Natalie reports the song drew the loudest cheers of the day.

In place of a traditional encore call, fans chanted the show's signature "Maebashi Mae-Bishibashi" rallying cry. The group returned for "1, 2, 3 Magic!" — a pre-broadcast staple — and closed with "Kirari Forever." During the final MC, Kasuga asked the crowd, "Have the flowers in your hearts started to bloom?" The response was deafening.

Looking Ahead

Fans who missed the Tokyo show can catch the archived stream on Bandai Channel until June 30, 2026. An Osaka performance at Zepp Osaka Bayside follows on May 31.

Beyond the concert circuit, a theatrical compilation film — Maebashi Witches: Majo Minarai no Emo-Emories — is confirmed for fall 2026, with advance tickets going on sale July 3. A 2nd anniversary concert is also set for September 26-27, 2026 in Maebashi itself.

The TV anime, which aired its 12-episode run from April to June 2025, streams internationally on Crunchyroll with English subtitles.
