Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba's full TV rebroadcast aired Mugen Train Arc episode 3, "Hontō nara," on October 25, 2026. To mark the broadcast, the anime's official account released comments from Yō Taichi and Kaede Hondo, who voice Tanjiro's younger brothers Takeo and Shigeru Kamado, according to an Anime Anime episode roundup.
The rebroadcast began April 5, 2026, on the Fuji TV network and covers all 63 episodes, according to an earlier Anime Anime report. The official account posts cast comments weekly to celebrate the rebroadcast.
The episode title 本当なら roughly means "if things were as they should be"; this is a gloss, not an official English title. Spoilers for the episode follow.
Enmu, Lower Rank One of the Twelve Kizuki, has used his Blood Demon Art to put Tanjiro, Kyojuro Rengoku, Zenitsu Agatsuma and Inosuke Hashibira into a deep sleep aboard the train. In his dream, Tanjiro is at home with his family. As he runs away to wake up, his youngest brother Rokuta shouts, "Big brother, don't leave me behind!" (translated). Tanjiro then puts his blade to his own neck inside the dream.
In a translated excerpt of Taichi's comment, the actor said, "Even watching it, my heart ached, and I found myself in tears." Taichi added that, as Takeo's voice actor, seeing the whole family together, even in a brief dream, brought great happiness. Hondo said Rokuta's desperate chase had made her chest tighten ever since the recording session, and that she wanted to tell Tanjiro, who runs off without looking back, "Don't feel sorry" (translated).
The roundup also gathered viewer posts about the scene, including one from a viewer who said Tanjiro's line makes them cry every time. According to the report, Tanjiro's father, Tanjuro Kamado, appears in the next-episode preview.
