One Reveal, Streamed to the Whole World at Once

Bandai Namco is pairing the convention-hall reveal with a simultaneous global stream. According to Japanese anime news site Anime Anime, a special program carrying the new anime announcements premieres on Gundam Channel, the franchise's official YouTube channel, on Friday, July 24, 2026, at 3:00 a.m. Japan time, with an archive available for anyone who sleeps through it.

The timing lines up with San Diego. The panel, "GUNDAM Showcase 2026 - Unveil the Next Gundam," runs Thursday, July 23 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Pacific in Room 6BCF at the San Diego Convention Center, and the YouTube program goes live at 11:00 a.m. Pacific, exactly half an hour into the panel's time slot. One caveat spelled out in the announcement: the stream is not a recording or live relay of the panel. It is a separate program built to deliver the same new-anime information to viewers everywhere.

There is also a dedicated English-language feed. Per Bandai Namco Filmworks' press release, GUNDAM CHANNEL INTL, the franchise's international YouTube channel, carries the program at 11:00 a.m. PT / 2:00 p.m. ET on July 23.

What the SDCC Panel and Booth Are Bringing

The panel features special guests from Japan and covers more than the single reveal. Alongside the new anime information, the showcase will lay out where the Gundam series is headed next, both in Japan and internationally. Panel attendees also get limited-quantity swag bags stuffed with Gundam items; the press release lists a poster, a T-shirt, a promotional card, an inflatable beam saber, and a model kit among the contents.

Out on the show floor, the Gundam booth centers on GUNDAM ROGUE ORBIT, the video game Bandai Namco announced in June, along with displays tied to the still-unnamed new anime. The booth also brings the latest Bandai Namco Group merchandise, photo spots with the Gunpla-kun mascot and Gundam statues, and event-exclusive Gunpla and figures. San Diego Comic-Con runs July 23 to 26, 2026.

Looking Ahead

The date to circle is July 24 at 3:00 a.m. JST (July 23 at 11:00 a.m. PT), when the Gundam Channel premiere reveals what the next anime actually is. Whether that means a TV series, a film, or something else entirely is exactly the question the showcase exists to answer; no staff, format, or release-window details have been shared ahead of time. If you miss the premiere live, the archive will be up on the channel afterward. Beyond the anime itself, Bandai Namco says the program will also cover the franchise's upcoming plans inside and outside Japan, so expect the roadmap segment to carry news of its own.
