Domain Expansion, Now in Tote Form
The 5th anniversary of MAPPA's (Jujutsu Kaisen, Chainsaw Man) Jujutsu Kaisen anime adaptation has been a rolling celebration since mid-2025, and the latest addition is a compact but cleverly designed merch line. Anime Anime reports that six new accessories go on sale July 15 through the Handkerchief Gallery online shop, the Japanese textile and accessories retailer, as well as select department stores, variety stores, and vending machines across Japan.
The collection's standout is a pair of eco bags (¥5,500 each, tax included) available in Gojo and Sukuna variants. The exterior is solid black, printed with the hand signs each sorcerer forms before casting. Flip the bag open and the interior lining is a full-bleed print of their domain expansion in action. It is a nice gimmick: every trip to the convenience store becomes a Malevolent Shrine deployment.
The Full Lineup
Beyond the eco bags, the collection spans several arcs and character groups.
Gadget Pouches (¥3,300 each) are hard-shell cases themed to the four special grade sorcerers: Okkotsu Yuta, Gojo Satoru, Geto Suguru, and Tsukumo Yuki. Each pouch carries character-specific motifs on the front, back, and zipper pull, representing their cursed techniques and visual signatures.
Print Handkerchiefs (¥2,750 each) use inkjet printing to reproduce key visuals from three arcs: Jujutsu Kaisen 0, Hidden Inventory, and the Shibuya Incident. They double as small wall hangings for fans who prefer their merch on display.
Charms (¥2,530 each) recreate Gojo's crude, childlike doodles of the cursed spirits Jogo and Hanami. The embroidered and appliqué construction gives the doodles a tactile, raised texture.
Towel Handkerchiefs (¥1,650 each) take inspiration from the Curtain barrier technique, with embroidered motifs for Itadori Yuji, Nanami Kento, Mei Mei, and Tsukamoto. The slider-style packaging doubles as a small pouch.
Microfiber Handkerchiefs (¥1,100 each) pair characters with deep narrative connections on opposite sides: Okkotsu and Rika, Gojo and Geto, Itadori and Sukuna. They also work as screen-cleaning cloths.
A Franchise Still in Full Swing
Gege Akutami's original manga ran in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump from March 2018 through September 2024, wrapping after six and a half years with over 150 million copies in circulation worldwide. The anime, which premiered in October 2020, has kept the franchise visible: Season 2 covered the Hidden Inventory and Shibuya Incident arcs in 2023, Season 3 adapted the first half of the Culling Game arc in early 2026, and a Season 4 teaser for the Culling Game's second half has already dropped.
The Jujutsu Kaisen 0 film pulled in ¥26.5 billion (approx. $171 million) at the global box office, and 2025 saw a run of theatrical re-releases and special screenings that kept the property in cinemas well after the manga's conclusion.
Looking Ahead
The merch collection goes on sale July 15, 2026, with availability limited to Japan. Handkerchief Gallery's online shop is the primary retailer, with select department stores and variety stores carrying the line in physical locations. No international shipping option has been announced, so overseas fans will likely need a proxy service.
For broader 5th anniversary news, the official celebration site at jujutsukaisen.jp continues to roll out events, including a large-scale fan event planned for summer 2026. Crunchyroll streams the Jujutsu Kaisen TV anime for international audiences, and Viz Media publishes the complete manga in English.
