A Whole Career Drawn From Hinata's Point of View

The new artwork is titled Josō (助走), the running start a spiker takes before going up for the ball. It puts Shoyo Hinata front and center in mid-leap and fills the frame around him with famous moments alongside teammates and rivals, all newly drawn from Hinata's own point of view. It follows the exhibition's first key visual, Shisei o Tadasu (roughly "Straightening Up"), which was revealed in April.

That perspective choice is what set fans off. According to a report from Japanese anime news site Anime Anime, the reveal on the exhibition's official X account has drawn 79,000 likes, with comments like "I can feel Hinata's growth from this one visual and it's making me cry" and "drawing the backgrounds from the protagonist's point of view? Genius." Several commenters focused on Tobio Kageyama, pointing out that the composition opens with Hinata facing him and closes with Hinata heading to the same match as him. The official post paired the artwork with ticket information, visitor bonuses, and a first look at exhibits and merchandise.

Kenma's Voice Actor Weighed In Too

Yuki Kaji, who voices Kenma Kozume in the Haikyu!! anime and is best known internationally as Eren Yeager in Attack on Titan, quote-posted the reveal. He wrote that seeing the series' famous scenes through Shoyo's eyes made him smile, because it shows which moments actually stuck with the character. He added that he was happy Kenma is part of that history.

The Third Haikyu!! Original Art Exhibition

"Haruichi Furudate Haikyu!! Exhibition: Challengers" (古舘春一 ハイキュー!!展 挑戦者たち) is the manga's third exhibition of original artwork, organized by publisher Shueisha and built around the characters' growth across the series. Haikyu!! ran in Weekly Shonen Jump from 2012 to 2020, and its collected volumes have passed 75 million copies in circulation, digital editions included, as of April 2026. The manga wrapped six years ago, but anime seasons, films, and stage plays have kept it in front of fans in Japan and overseas.

One line in the announcement matters for anime-only viewers: the exhibition includes material from parts of the story that have not been animated yet. Fans who are current only on the anime will walk past artwork from story beats they haven't seen.

Looking Ahead

The Tokyo run opens October 30, 2026, and continues through January 11, 2027 at the Mori Arts Center Gallery, on the 52nd floor of the Roppongi Hills Mori Tower, with no closing days and hours of 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. (last entry 30 minutes before close). The show then moves to the Grand Front Osaka complex, a short walk from Osaka Station, from April 24 to June 20, 2027, and a Sendai stop is planned for summer 2027, with details still to come. No stops outside Japan have been announced.

For fans who can't make the trip, the Haikyu!! anime is available on Crunchyroll and Netflix, and further details, including ticketing specifics, will roll out on the exhibition's official website.
