Ado's New Song Comes From Vocaloid Producer YurryCanon
Shinka (シンカ, "Evolution") was written for Ado by Vocaloid producer YurryCanon. According to Japanese music news site THE FIRST TIMES, the track is an up-tempo number that sets an emotional melody against a driving, dynamic sound, expressing a determination to grow and a hope for the future. The outlet frames it as a song built to match a story in which reality and the game world eat into each other.
Ado's own comment lands on the same theme. She explained that the song carries the feeling of pushing forward and believing in yourself through anxiety and inner conflict, in a world where reality and the game blur and you can no longer tell which feelings are real and which are illusions.
The trailer arrived with a bonus clip: a "15 Seconds Challenge" video in which Ado pitches the theme song in exactly 15 seconds. It was first shown at Anime Expo 2026 and released online to mark the 15th anniversary of Warner Bros. Japan's anime production arm.
What Devils' Crest Is About
Devils' Crest (デモンズ・クレスト) adapts Sword Art Online author Reki Kawahara's novel series of the same name, published in Japan under KADOKAWA's Dengeki Bunko imprint. The story centers on Actual Magic, billed in-universe as the world's first full-sensory, full-dive VRMMO-RPG. Yuma Ashihara joins the game's playtest, forms a party with classmates including Sawa Ashihara and clears a boss battle. The official synopsis cuts off at the moment the playtest was supposed to end safely with a logout.
Production I.G (Ghost in the Shell, Haikyu!!) handles the animation, with Shinji Ushiro as chief director and Kenichirō Komaya directing. Eiji Umehara oversees series composition, and Yukiko Horiguchi, who illustrates the original novels, adapts her own character designs for the screen. Yūki Hayashi and Naoyuki Chikatani compose the music.
Haruka Shiraishi voices Yuma, with Konomi Inagaki as Sawa; Yūya Hirose and Satomi Amano voice the two classmates who round out the four-person test party.
One naming quirk: the anime's official English title is Devils' Crest, per Warner's own English-language materials, while Yen Press publishes the source novels in English as Demons' Crest. Same series, two spellings.
Looking Ahead
Devils' Crest streams worldwide, exclusively on Prime Video, starting November 6, 2026. That means international fans get it day one, with no separate licensing announcement to wait on. The first trailer is up now on the Warner Bros. Japan Anime YouTube channel, and it includes the first snippet of Shinka.
Anyone who wants to read ahead can pick up the novels in English from Yen Press under the Demons' Crest title. As for the song itself, no release date for Shinka as a standalone single has been announced yet, so for now the trailer is the only place to hear it.
