Mika Nakashima Meets Mushoku Tensei
Mika Nakashima, the singer behind hits like "Yuki no Hana" and the 2005 NANA film's "Glamorous Sky," performs Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Season 3's ending theme. The track, titled "Inori, Owareba" (roughly, "When the Prayer Ends"), was announced by Animate Times alongside a new main PV on June 4. Nakashima celebrates her 25th debut anniversary this November.
Shinoda, guitarist and vocalist of rock band Hitorie, wrote and composed the song. Hitorie handles the arrangement. Shinoda previously composed "On the Frontline," the Season 2 Part 2 opening theme, connecting his work on the franchise across two seasons. "Inori, Owareba" releases digitally on July 4, 2026, one day before the broadcast premiere.
In her official comment, Nakashima called the track a departure from her usual work. Shinoda described the writing process as overwhelming, saying the pressure of writing for both Nakashima and Mushoku Tensei initially "crushed him flat" before he settled on what he called a straightforward "love song." He added that hearing Nakashima's voice on his composition for the first time made his "blood evaporate" with excitement.
Season 3's First Footage Teases Family and Magic
The main PV, released on the TOHO animation YouTube channel, features previously unseen footage from the upcoming season. The isekai series follows a man reincarnated into a fantasy world as Rudeus Greyrat, and Season 3 picks up from light novel volume 13 after the devastating events of Season 2.
The trailer shows Rudeus moving forward after losing his father Paul, spending peaceful moments with his wives Sylphiette and Roxy and his rescued mother Zenith. Quiet domestic scenes give way to a striking action sequence where Rudeus and Roxy unleash lightning magic together. Dialogue in the PV centers on Rudeus's resolve to protect his family, setting the tone for a season that balances personal drama with escalating conflict.
The opening theme, "Ketsui no Uta" (Song of Resolve), comes from Yuiko Ohara, who performed every Season 1 opening but was absent from Season 2's musical lineup. Her return pairs with Nakashima's franchise debut to give Season 3 a refreshed sound that still ties back to the show's origins.
