Shiritomo ANIME counted eight new anime adaptation and film announcements it reported between late September and October 2026, according to a Shiritomo roundup on hashout.jp. Yumenekonekuto was announced two days before the release of its 10th volume, while Vampire Jūjikai was announced 24 years after its manga began.

Shiritomo's editors concluded that volume counts and years in print did not decide the timing. Instead, they said, announcements often followed a trigger such as a manga ending, growing buzz, the same franchise's season finale or an anniversary. Here are the eight titles as the roundup summarizes them:

  • Yumenekonekuto (ゆめねこねくと): The TV anime of the Weekly Shonen Magazine manga was announced on October 14. STUDIO MASSKET is producing the animation.
  • Nue's Exorcist (Nue no Onmyōji): The TV anime of the Weekly Shonen Jump series was announced on the night of October 12. It is scheduled for summer 2027 on TV Asahi's nationwide network, and Studio Hibari is producing it. Shiritomo cites 16 volumes and a cumulative circulation of 1.6 million copies. It adds that a post, apparently from someone involved with the announcement, said the series ranked first in a 2025 ranking of manga readers want adapted.
  • Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun: The series' first theatrical anime was announced on September 27 at the fan event DEVIL'S PARTY! 2. The manga began in March 2017 and reaches its 10th serialization anniversary in 2027. Shiritomo puts the original comics' cumulative circulation at 20 million copies.
  • Clayman REVENGE: On the night of September 25, when the second cour of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Season 4 ended, the official X account announced a TV anime for this official spin-off. It is scheduled to air in April 2027, three months before Season 4's third cour premieres in July 2027. Eight Bit is animating, and Takehito Koyasu returns as Clayman.
  • Hirayasumi: A main visual and teaser PV were released on September 29 for the TV anime, which premieres in January 2027 on NHK General. Anime News Network reports that Yūma Uchida stars as Hiroto Ikuta. The January 2027 NHK General premiere itself had been announced earlier.
  • Seibetsu "Mona Lisa" no Kimi e.: The manga ran in GanGan ONLINE from May 2018 to December 2021 and has a cumulative circulation of 1 million copies. On October 21, a main visual, PV, cast and theme song were released, and a 2027 broadcast was confirmed. The story is set in a world where people can choose their gender at around age 12, but the protagonist is still genderless at 18. Shaft is animating.
  • Yona of the Dawn: The manga began in Hana to Yume in 2009 and ended in 2025. Its 48th and final volume was released on October 20. The sequel anime had already been announced alongside the final chapter, in the issue released December 19, 2025. The new detail on October 20 was the studio: PIERROT FILMS, which Shiritomo describes as a brand Studio Pierrot launched in 2024. The first TV anime ran for 24 episodes from October 2014 to March 2015.
  • Vampire Jūjikai: The manga began in the September 2003 issue of Monthly Shonen Gangan, and its TV anime was announced on October 5 for 2027. Uchida voices the protagonist, and Evan Call composes the music. A new series, Vampire Jūjikai: Inu ni wa Inu no Uta, began in the magazine's November issue, released October 9.
