Kikunosuke Toya Leads the Season 2 Cast Additions
Comic Natalie, a Japanese comic-news outlet, has confirmed three new voice actors for the hit Shonen Jump adaptation's second season. Kikunosuke Toya (戸谷菊之介), best known as Denji in Chainsaw Man, takes on the role of Amane (周), an honor student at JCC who despises the assassin organization. Misa Watanabe (渡辺美佐), the voice of Nefertari Vivi in One Piece, plays Satoda Etsuko (佐藤田悦子), a teacher who once trained Sakamoto himself. Shinshū Fuji (藤真秀), who voiced Risotto Nero in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind, rounds out the trio as Yotsumura (四ツ村), a mysterious figure tied to the founding of ORDER.
Toya described Amane as "an incredibly straightforward kid who cares deeply about friends and family," while noting the character's intensity can make him reckless. Watanabe called Satoda one of the most fulfilling roles of her career, initially expecting a stern authority figure before learning the character is genuinely gentle with her students. Fuji characterized Yotsumura as a "nihilistic" man who conceals deep loyalty beneath his cool exterior.
Daisuke Nakajima (中島大輔) steps into the director's chair for Season 2, with Season 1 director Masaki Watanabe shifting to chief director. Series composition by Taku Kishimoto, character designs by Hiroshi Moriyama, and music by Yūki Hayashi all return. TMS Entertainment (Detective Conan, Lupin III) remains on animation production.
Inside the JCC Arc
The newly released teaser visual shows Sakamoto and Shin standing back to back as they prepare to infiltrate the JCC. Sakamoto grips a ballpoint pen, the randomly assigned weapon from his JCC entrance exam, while Shin wears a new pair of combat gloves. The visual foreshadows fierce new battles ahead.
The teaser PV offers a closer look at the new setting. Sakamoto goes undercover as a student teacher, disguised as his wife Aoi, while Shin poses as a student attending classes to gather intel from inside the organization. Familiar faces from Season 1 reappear alongside the three new characters.
Nakajima expressed his enthusiasm in an official comment, calling it an honor to helm a hit Jump title. He pledged to deliver the "stylish action thrills and grand spectacle" of Yūto Suzuki's manga, carrying the baton forward from Season 1. The director addressed both existing fans and newcomers, asking them to look forward to the start of Season 2.
