AnimeFesta Adds Another Boys' Love Comedy to Its Slate

The series comes from AnimeFesta Original, the production brand of the Japanese streaming service AnimeFesta (The Titan's Bride), which has built up a lineup of boys' love adaptations. The official statement name-checks six of its prior titles, including Papa Datte, Shitai and Yatara Yarashii Fukami-kun, and slots Andō-san in as the next one.
A Stone-Faced Engineer Who Cannot Handle One Drink
For readers new to the manga: Andō (安藤) is a systems engineer, serious to a fault and permanently expressionless. His coworker Kikuchi (菊池) has spent a full year trying to coax a smile out of him, with nothing to show for it. Then alcohol enters the picture. Andō turns out to be a spectacular lightweight, and a single drink turns the office's iron mask into someone giddy, defenseless, and, in Kikuchi's eyes, unexpectedly alluring.
The volume 2 blurb published alongside the announcement picks up from there. Kikuchi floats a suggestive joke he never expects to land, and drunk Andō says yes. The publisher pitches the series as a high-energy love comedy between a pushover who catches real feelings and a stoic who only goes soft when he drinks.

The anime news arrived packaged with the manga's next release. Volume 2 goes on sale in Japan on September 18, 2026, priced at ¥880, under the Continuer. label. Volume 1 (¥858) sold well enough to go back to print immediately after launch, according to the Animate Times report.

The next concrete beat is the promised follow-up announcement covering broadcast and streaming plans plus the voice cast; no timeline has been given for it. Nothing has been said about international availability either, and the manga has no announced English edition. One data point for overseas fans keeping watch: AnimeFesta's The Titan's Bride reached English-speaking viewers through the digital platform Coolmic rather than a mainstream streamer, and whether Andō-san follows the same route is an open question.
