What Are Mimashita Hanko?
"Mimashita" means "I saw it" or "checked" in Japanese, and that is exactly what these stamps are for. The Haikyu!! Mimashita Hanko set is a line of rubber communication stamps featuring chibi-style versions of the series' cast. Think of them as the anime equivalent of a teacher's approval stamp: you press one onto a homework notebook, office memo, or sticky note, and the recipient gets a tiny Hinata Shoyo confirming that yes, someone actually read their message.
The product comes from Inkan Hanko SHOP Hankoz, an online stamp retailer, and is available now through their Rakuten and Yahoo storefronts.
24 Designs, 168 Combinations
The lineup covers characters from across the series' rival schools. Hinata Shoyo, Kageyama Tobio, and Tsukishima Kei represent Karasuno, while Kuroo Tetsuro and Kozume Kenma hold down Nekoma. The Miya twins round out the roster alongside other fan favorites, totaling 24 illustration options.
Each stamp pairs one character illustration with a text line chosen from seven options, including "Mimashita" (Seen it), "Sugoi!" (Amazing!), and "OK!" That math gives buyers 168 possible character-and-text combinations to customize.
The stamp face is 10mm in diameter. Buyers pick from eight body colors and four ink colors, so the physical stamp itself is customizable too. Price is ¥2,600 (approximately $17) tax included.
Use Cases Beyond the Classroom
Hankoz pitches the stamps for school-home communication: the student planners and reading logs that pass between parents and teachers in Japan. But the appeal goes wider: office memos, shared documents, sticky-note wars with coworkers. Any context where a small "acknowledged" mark would benefit from a tiny volleyball boy.
The Franchise Right Now
Haikyu!! remains a merchandising powerhouse. Haruichi Furudate's original manga ran in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump from February 2012 for eight and a half years, accumulating over 75 million copies in circulation. The TV anime, which Anime Anime reports ran four seasons between 2014 and December 2020, built a massive international following through Crunchyroll.
The 2024 theatrical film Haikyu!! The Dumpster Battle, depicting the long-awaited Karasuno vs. Nekoma showdown, crossed ¥20 billion (approximately $130 million) at the worldwide box office and won the Japan Academy Prize for Best Animation. A sequel film, Haikyu!! VS The Little Giant, and a special anime titled Haikyu!! Where the Monsters Go have both been confirmed for production.
Looking Ahead
The Mimashita Hanko stamps are available now on Hankoz's Rakuten and Yahoo shops, shipping within Japan. No international shipping details have been announced, though proxy shopping services like Buyee and ZenMarket support Rakuten purchases for overseas buyers. With two new productions confirmed, more merchandise tie-ins are likely on the way.
