Palace Chronicles Brings Maomao's World to Your Browser
CTW Inc. confirmed via Dengeki Online that The Apothecary Diaries: Palace Chronicles (薬屋のひとりごと 後宮異聞録) launches June 15, 2026. The simulation game runs entirely in-browser on CTW's G123 platform, meaning no app download is required. Players can jump between PC at home and smartphone on the go with the same account.
The game puts players in control of Maomao as she tackles problems across the rear palace and the pleasure district, progressing through stages that recreate daily life in the series' fictionalized imperial court. An auto-play feature is included for shorter play sessions.
Over 35 characters from the anime appear in-game, including Maomao, Jinshi, Gaoshun, Consort Gyokuyou, Xiaolan, and Suishi. The teaser PV on CTW's YouTube channel features voice lines from Aoi Yuuki and Takeo Otsuka reprising their anime roles as Maomao and Jinshi.
Pre-Registration Crosses 200,000
The pre-registration campaign has already passed 200,000 sign-ups. As a reward, all players will receive 50 lottery tickets, 20 tea items, and the character Xiaolan at launch. Pre-registration remains open through the game's official site, LINE, X, Instagram, and Discord channels.
Palace Chronicles is free to play with optional in-game purchases.
A Big Year for The Apothecary Diaries
The game launch arrives in a packed 2026 for the 45-million-copy franchise. The TV anime, produced by TOHO animation STUDIO and OLM, announced its third season and first theatrical film back in October 2025 to mark the show's second anniversary. Season 3 begins in October 2026 as a split two-cour run, with the film following in December 2026.
For international fans, the anime streams on Crunchyroll, which has handled both seasons so far. The source light novels are published in English by J-Novel Club, and Yen Press releases the manga adaptation.
Looking Ahead
Palace Chronicles goes live on June 15 through CTW's G123 browser platform. The game is accessible from any web browser on PC, tablet, or smartphone. As of this writing, there's no word on whether the G123 version will support English, though the platform does host some titles with English-language options. Season 3 of the anime follows in October, giving fans of Maomao's imperial court mysteries plenty to look forward to this year.
