What's on the Menu

Matsuya, a major Japanese beef bowl (gyumeshi) restaurant chain with locations across the country, announced the collaboration under the banner "Summer! Feast! Great Fullness Festival." The centerpiece is the Giant-Size Set, a nod to the Elbaf arc's land of giants that piles on triple the standard portion of beef and onions over an extra-large serving of rice. A second option, the One Piece Set, applies across six varieties of Matsuya's signature beef bowl.

Every collab set ordered comes with one random Original Acrylic Block Chopstick Rest, collectible across 12 designs.

Elbaf Arc, Giant Appetites

The collaboration's timing lines up with the anime's current storyline. After escaping Egghead Island, the Straw Hat crew and the Giant Warrior Pirates have arrived on the long-awaited island of Elbaf. The arc has brought new giant characters into the fold alongside reunions fans have been waiting years to see. Eiichiro Oda's manga, serialized in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump since 1997, crossed 600 million copies in worldwide circulation as of March 2026.

The giant theme carries through to the portion sizes, and the campaign stretches over three months to cover the arc's summer broadcast window.

Kids Menu Freebies and a Donburi Lottery

Matsuya's kids menu gets two phases of freebies. From June 30, orders of the Kids Beef Bowl Fun Set or Kids Curry Fun Set come with an original sticker (12 designs). Starting August 18, a second wave swaps in collectible name charms, also across 12 designs.

Separately, any receipt totaling at least 800 yen (tax included) qualifies for a web lottery. One hundred winners will receive an Original Collab Donburi Bowl. Matsuya is also running a follow-and-repost campaign on its official X (formerly Twitter) account, with a complete set of all 12 chopstick rests among the prizes.

Looking Ahead

The collaboration runs at all Matsuya locations in Japan from June 30 at 10:00 AM through October 6, 2026. Full details are available on Matsuya's official campaign page. Matsuya does not operate locations outside Japan, so international fans will need to plan a trip or turn to resellers for the exclusive merchandise.

The One Piece anime's Elbaf arc is currently streaming on Crunchyroll for international audiences. The source manga is published in English by Viz Media and is available through the Shonen Jump digital vault.
