Risae Matsuda Takes On a Kind Adventurer With a Cruel Gift
The newest addition to the cast is Risae Matsuda (Hakumei in Hakumei and Mikochi, Noella in Drugstore in Another World), who voices Linka. Per the announcement, Linka is an adventurer with a Unique Gift called Ashuradō (阿修羅道, "Asura Path"), and while she is gentle at heart, the nature of that Gift is what pushed her into the adventuring life. Her former party used her as a sacrificial pawn, and protagonist Lent rescues her from the desperate situation they left her in. The new main visual shows the two of them, each cast out of their own party, meeting and setting off with new companions.
In her comment released alongside the news, Matsuda said she empathized with Linka's honest words as the character wrestles with a Gift that runs against her personality, and she hopes viewers will watch over Linka as she faces both herself and the words other people hand her. She also called the show "a chance to think once again about revolving payments," inviting fans to get scared and have fun right along with her.
A Revenge Fantasy Priced Like a Credit Card
According to the BookLive press release carried by Japanese entertainment news outlet Oricon News, the story is set in a world where a Gift granted by the creator deity can decide the course of a person's life. Lent, a kind-hearted boy from a frontier village, receives an extremely rare support Gift (魔蔵庫) that lets him lend his own magic to allies. He forms the party Skypiercers (断空の剣) with his childhood friends, but the perpetually weak Lent gets branded dead weight and thrown out. The betrayal evolves his Gift and awakens its true power: a skill that forcibly collects every bit of the enormous magic he has been lending out. His revenge on those former teammates starts there.
The joke in the Japanese title needs one piece of context: ribo-barai, or revolving payment, is a credit-card repayment scheme with a reputation in Japan for quietly burying users in interest. The full title translates to roughly "The Magic I Lent Will Be Forcibly Collected, Revolving-Payment Style." Seven Seas publishes the source manga in English under the title Magic Repo Man: Dumped by My Party, I'll Cash In With a Cute Support Fairy to Become the Strongest!
Broadcast Slots, Streaming, and the Full Cast
Magic Repo Man premieres on October 3, 2026, in NUMAnimation, the late-night anime block carried across TV Asahi's 24-station national network, airing Saturdays at 1:30 a.m. BS Asahi broadcasts follow from October 4, Sundays at 1:00 a.m. Streaming in Japan is exclusive to ABEMA and d Anime Store, with new episodes arriving Saturdays at 2:00 a.m. starting October 3.
Reiji Kawashima (Fushi in To Your Eternity) leads the cast as Lent, with Emiri Katō as Empee, Daiki Hamano as Guy, Akira Sekine as Misa, and Yū Kobayashi as Elle. At studio SynergySP, Takahiro Tamano directs from a series composition by Ryūsuke Mori, with character designs by Kazue Mori and music by Kow Otani. The manga is written by Masakichi and drawn by Shingō Iijima, and it runs on COMIC Meteor, a webcomic site operated by Flex Comix under the BookLive group.
To mark the casting news, the anime's official X account (@revo_anime) is running a giveaway through August 31: three winners drawn from followers who repost the campaign post will receive an autograph board hand-signed by Matsuda. Details are on the official site.

The next date on the calendar is the October 3, 2026 premiere, and a first promotional video featuring the main cast's character voices is already up on YouTube. ABEMA and d Anime Store are both Japan-only services, and no international streaming partner has been announced. Manga readers are better covered: Seven Seas publishes the series in English, with Volume 1's print edition scheduled for September 2026. In Japan, Volume 6 arrives September 15, 2026.
