Watercolor Meets Cursed Energy

Content Seed's PALE TONE series takes official anime illustrations and repaints them with muted pastel palettes and original textures, giving familiar characters a watercolor-art look. The latest wave covers Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3's Culling Game arc and features five characters: Yuji Itadori, Megumi Fushiguro, Yuta Okkotsu, Choso, and Naoya Zenin.

The items first went on sale at the Chayamachi Oshi Festival 2026 in Osaka on June 20 and 21. This online pre-order window is the follow-up for fans who missed the event.

What's in the Collection

The lineup includes four product types, each available in all five character designs:

  • Clear Cards (random, 5 types): 550 yen each / 2,750 yen for the full set
  • Iridescent Pin Badges (random, 5 types): 660 yen each / 3,300 yen for the set
  • Iridescent Acrylic Keychains (5 types): 990 yen each
  • Acrylic Figures (5 types): 1,650 yen each

The clear cards and iridescent pin badges are sold as random blind packs, so collectors after a specific character will want the guaranteed full-set option. The acrylic keychains and figures are sold individually by character.

All items ship from early to late September 2026. Pre-orders close on THE Chara on July 13 at 11:59 p.m. JST.

A Busy Summer for Jujutsu Kaisen Fans

The PALE TONE release arrives during a busy period for the franchise. Season 3's Culling Game Part 1, produced by MAPPA (Jujutsu Kaisen, Chainsaw Man), premiered on January 8, 2026, and the anime's fifth anniversary has already produced a run of tie-in goods, including a recent ZOZOTOWN apparel line and a themed cafe tour hitting Tokyo, Nagoya, and Osaka.

Meanwhile, the touring Gege Akutami Jujutsu Kaisen Exhibition opens its Nagoya run on July 4 through August 30, followed by an Iwate venue from September 12 to November 8. With Akutami's manga having wrapped in Weekly Shonen Jump in September 2024 at over 100 million copies in print, the exhibition gives fans another reason to visit this summer.

Looking Ahead

Pre-orders for the PALE TONE series close July 13, with delivery expected throughout September. For international fans, THE Chara is a Japan-domestic storefront, so a proxy shipping service will likely be needed for overseas orders. No English-language retailer has listed these items.

Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3's Culling Game Part 1 is streaming on Crunchyroll for international audiences. Viz Media publishes the complete manga in English, and the series is also available on Shueisha's free Manga Plus platform.
