Why Production I.G Is Behind This One
The cookies come out of a collaboration project Production I.G is running under the name Rilakkuma × Haikyu!!. The studio animates both series, which is how the two properties ended up sharing artwork.
Rilakkuma belongs to San-X, the Japanese character-goods company, and was designed from an original concept by illustrator Aki Kondo. The short-form TV anime premiered on TBS on April 4, 2026 and airs Saturdays at 9:25 a.m., with Yoshimi Itazu and Yumi Kamakura directing at Production I.G. Haikyu!! is Haruichi Furudate's volleyball manga, serialized in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump from February 2012, about high schoolers who put everything they have into the sport.

Each pack holds one soft cookie and one card, either a clear card or a metallic plastic card, drawn from a 24-design lineup split evenly between the two finishes. The clear cards are made to be held up against different backgrounds. The metallic plastic ones use a glittery holographic finish.
Japanese anime news site Anime Anime's rundown of the lineup details artwork from five schools. Karasuno gets four solo designs: Shoyo Hinata stretched out next to Rilakkuma, Tobio Kageyama having a drink with Korilakkuma, Kei Tsukishima walking along with Kiiroitori tucked into his bag, and Tadashi Yamaguchi taking it easy with Rilakkuma.
The other four schools come in pairs. Aoba Johsai's Toru Oikawa and Hajime Iwaizumi look like they are mid-squabble, which Anime Anime's headline frames as a fight over someone sneaking a bite. Nekoma's Tetsuro Kuroo and Kenma Kozume are splitting snacks without incident. Fukurodani Academy gets Kotaro Bokuto and Keiji Akaashi, and Inarizaki gets the Miya twins, Atsumu and Osamu. The report does not spell out how those eight artworks fill all 24 card slots.
The cookies sell for 180 yen before tax, or 198 yen with tax, at candy counters in mass-market retailers across Japan. The packaging is labeled for ages 15 and up, and Anime Anime notes that the on-shelf date will vary by store.
Looking Ahead
The cookies go on sale in January 2027 as a Japanese domestic retail item. No international distribution or export has been announced, so importers and proxy services are the realistic route for collectors outside Japan.
Both halves of the crossover are watchable in English-speaking markets. Crunchyroll streams the Rilakkuma short anime, and Haikyu!! is available on both Crunchyroll and Netflix. San-X has also announced a third season of the Rilakkuma anime, titled Kimama ni Manpuku Biyori, though no start date has been given yet.
Haikyu!! has two productions lined up for 2027. Gekijoban Haikyu!! VS Chiisana Kyojin, rendered in English as Haikyu!! Vs. The Little Giant, is the second film in the Final sequel project and continues from Haikyu!! The Dumpster Battle, with Susumu Mitsunaka writing and directing at Production I.G. Alongside it comes the special anime Haikyu!! Bakemono-tachi no Iku Tokoro, or Where Monsters Go, covering Fukurodani Academy against Mujinazaka High. TOHO animation has already released an action PV for the special, which announces a 2027 start.
