Kenma, Kuroo, and the Miya Twins Get the Grade-School Treatment
The promotion's full name is the Anime Haikyu!! Lawson "Minna de Gungun" Campaign, a play on gungun, the Japanese onomatopoeia for growing up fast. According to a report from Japanese anime news site Anime Anime, it starts rolling out at Lawson convenience stores across Japan on Tuesday, August 11, 2026.
The hook is the newly drawn art. Tobio Kageyama appears as his usual high-school self and Shoyo Hinata as a middle schooler, but the rest of the lineup gets aged down to elementary school: Toru Oikawa, Hajime Iwaizumi, Tetsuro Kuroo, Kenma Kozume, and the Miya twins, Atsumu and Osamu. All eight are drinking Gungun Milk, the fictional milk brand from the series.
Those eight illustrations anchor the giveaways. Buy three eligible snacks and you get one of eight clear files on the spot; buy two eligible ice cream products and you get one of eight coasters. Both giveaways run from 7:00 a.m. on August 11 through August 24, or until supplies run out, and both are first come, first served. Lawson caps the freebies at one of each design per person per store visit, and Natural Lawson, Lawson Store 100, and L Mini Mart locations are excluded.
Gummies, a Hi-Chew Tie-In, and Cookies That Pop
Select stores will also sell original tie-in products starting the same day. The lineup includes gummies modeled on the series' Gungun Yoghurt drink, Morinaga's Korokoro Hi-Chew bundled with an acrylic holder, and a "Tobidase Haikyu!! Cookie" designed so the Karasuno members spring out when you open the lid. That cookie is also sold through Lawson's online gift shop. In-store shelves add acrylic stands using the same illustrations as the clear files and coasters, and Lawson's in-store print service carries original items as well.
Tumblers, Tapestries, and One Very Exclusive QUO Card
The online side goes deeper. Lawson's @Loppi kiosks and HMV&BOOKS online will take orders for exclusive goods: mini mascots, an extra-large tapestry, towels, and stainless tumbler and soft coaster sets patterned after Gungun Milk, Gungun Yoghurt, and Shimada Mart, the shop from the series. Orders open August 11 at 10:00 a.m. and close August 30 at 11:30 p.m. Japan time. Most items are handed over on November 26 or December 28, 2026, with the mini mascots arriving earlier on October 29.
There is also an X campaign running August 11 to 17. Follow Lawson's official account and quote-post the designated post with the campaign's Japanese hashtag to enter a drawing. Just one winner gets picked, and the prize is a ¥10,000 QUO card, a Japanese prepaid gift card.
Looking Ahead
The in-store goods rollout staggers by region. Most of the country starts August 11, but Miyagi, Fukushima, the Kanto region, and several other areas begin August 12, and Hokkaido follows on August 13. Everything is limited quantity, and Lawson's campaign site lists participating stores.
The campaign itself is Japan-only, with no international component announced. The franchise has plenty coming regardless: Anime Anime notes that 2027 brings Haikyu!! The Movie: VS The Little Giant, which pits Karasuno against Kamomedai and is animated at Production I.G, the studio behind the TV anime, plus the special anime Haikyu!! Bakemono-tachi no Iku Tokoro (roughly "Where the Monsters Go"), covering Fukurodani vs. Mujinazaka. For fans outside Japan wanting a fix in the meantime, the TV anime streams on Crunchyroll (and Netflix in some regions), and Viz Media publishes Haruichi Furudate's manga in English.
