Three Adventurers, One Very Apologetic Kneel
The centerpiece of the new lineup is a set of three figures in FuRyu's Noodle Stopper series, the long-running prize brand of figures sculpted to perch on top of a cup of instant noodles and hold the lid down while it steams. All three characters sit in seiza, the formal Japanese kneeling posture (and the position you end up in when you are being scolded), and the poses had already made the rounds on Japanese social media before FuRyu committed them to PVC, according to a report from Japanese anime news site Anime Anime.
Each figure commits to its expression. Frieren gets a deflated, downcast look, with lowered brows, eyes angled at the floor, and both hands placed neatly in front of her, reading as mid-apology. Her braids, white outfit, long elf ears, and cape are all sculpted in. Fern is the outlier: instead of drooping, she wears her signature pout, lips pressed tight and eyes staring straight ahead, back perfectly straight and hands properly aligned. Stark rounds out the set looking the most defeated of the three, eyes hidden behind his bangs, mouth hanging slack, hands resting on his knees, in his red jacket, shoulder belt, and gloves. Anime Anime notes that lining Stark up next to Frieren lets you appreciate how similar their brands of dejection are.
All three Noodle Stopper figures roll out at amusement arcades across Japan in August 2026 as claw-machine prizes rather than retail products.
The Original Hero Party Gets the Mascot Treatment
The second half of the lineup comes from Mochipiko, FuRyu's mascot brand built around squishy faces and rounded bodies. Mochipiko Mascot (1), available at arcades since July, covers the current traveling party of Frieren, Fern, and Stark, keeping each character's recognizable hair, ears, and outfit on a simplified chibi body.
Mochipiko Mascot (2), coming in August, reaches further back into the story. It features Himmel, Heiter, and Eisen, the hero party that defeated the Demon King alongside Frieren decades before the series begins. The mascots are sized for hanging off a bag, so fans can carry the late hero around with them.
Frieren: Beyond Journey's End is Kanehito Yamada and Tsukasa Abe's manga, serialized in Shogakukan's Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine. It follows Frieren, an elf mage who has lived more than 1,000 years, as she travels the world after the Demon King's defeat and reckons with the human lifespans she used to ignore. The TV anime's first season aired from September 2023 to March 2024, and Season 2 has been airing since January 2026, topping weekly rankings on streaming platforms in Japan.
Looking Ahead
FuRyu's official prize account on X (@FURYU_prize) is running a giveaway from August 13 to August 26, 2026. Following the account and reposting the designated post enters you in a drawing, and two winners will receive the complete three-figure Noodle Stopper set of Frieren, Fern, and Stark.
The figures themselves are Japan-arcade exclusives for now, though previous Frieren Noodle Stopper figures have consistently surfaced at import retailers like HobbyLink Japan after their arcade runs, so overseas collectors have a realistic route to the sulky trio.
On the anime side, the next milestone is already locked in: Season 3, adapting the manga's Golden Land arc, was announced for an October 2027 broadcast immediately after the Season 2 finale. The manga is published in English by Viz Media, and the anime streams internationally on Crunchyroll.
