A Merch Line Built Around One Cookout
The design source is very specific: Season 2 Episode 11 of the TV anime, during the joint training camp arc where Karasuno sharpens itself against Tokyo schools Nekoma and Fukurodani. The barbecue from that camp is the scene this collection recreates, according to Japanese anime news site Anime Anime. Six characters appear in the new art, all mid-cookout: Shoyo Hinata, Tobio Kageyama, Tetsuro Kuroo, Kenma Kozume, Kotaro Bokuto, and Keiji Akaashi.
Coleman, the American camping and outdoor gear brand, is a fitting partner for a barbecue scene. The acrylic stands are even pitched as photo props, designed so fans can shoot pictures that look like they have joined the grill line themselves. Each stand is sized to its character, from Kenma at roughly 139mm up to Bokuto towering over the set at about 180mm.
Every Item in the Lineup
The collection runs eight items deep, all sold through the online store of Japanese pop-culture retailer Village Vanguard:
- Acrylic stands: ¥1,760 each, one per character.
- Acrylic keychains: ¥770 each, about 85mm x 52mm.
- Trading can badges: ¥660 for a blind single (character not selectable) or ¥3,960 for the complete set of all six.
- Waterproof sticker sets: ¥1,100 per two-pack, in three pairings: Hinata and Kageyama, Kuroo and Kenma, and Bokuto and Akaashi. The vinyl stickers resist water and light, so they can live on a water bottle, laptop, or suitcase.
- Clear files: ¥1,100 each in three school designs (Karasuno, Nekoma, Fukurodani), with a full group illustration printed on one side.
- Face towel: ¥1,980, with a polyester front and cotton back built for quick drying at the campsite, a live show, or a gym.
- Tote bag: ¥3,080, in thick cotton canvas.
- T-shirts: ¥4,180 each in four designs, a full group shirt plus one each for Karasuno, Nekoma, and Fukurodani. They are 100% cotton with a slightly relaxed unisex cut in M, L, and XL.
The Franchise's Road to 2027
The barbecue nostalgia lands at a busy moment for the series. Haruichi Furudate's volleyball manga ran in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump, and the TV anime has been going since 2014. The theatrical film Haikyu!! The Dumpster Battle opened in Japan on February 16, 2024, and two follow-ups are locked for 2027: the film Haikyu!! vs. The Little Giant, which pits Karasuno against Kamomedai, and the special anime Haikyu!! The Place Where Monsters Go, covering Fukurodani's battle with Mujinazaka. The special already has an action PV up on the official Haikyu!! YouTube channel, stamped with a "match starts in 2027" tagline.
The character selection is well timed: Bokuto and Akaashi, half of this barbecue lineup, star in the upcoming Fukurodani special.
Looking Ahead
Orders close on September 1, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. JST on Village Vanguard Online, and because everything is made to order, this window is the only confirmed chance to buy. The listing is on the retailer's Japanese storefront, and no international shipping option is mentioned in the announcement, so overseas fans will likely need a proxy shipping service.
As for the source material, Furudate's manga is published in English by Viz Media, and the 2027 double bill of Haikyu!! vs. The Little Giant and Haikyu!! The Place Where Monsters Go gives international fans the next big franchise dates to watch.
