Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Series Song Collection SEED SONGS, a 15-track album of Gundam SEED theme and insert songs, will be released on January 16, 2027, according to a Dengeki Online report. The official Gundam SEED series site lists the same release date.
A FlyingDog announcement describes the CD as a collection of series songs previously released by FlyingDog, plus one new song. The album costs ¥3,300 including tax (catalog number VTCL-60710). The first production run comes in a limited premium package with newly drawn artwork, which FlyingDog describes as a slipcase. Dengeki Online reports that the jacket image will be revealed later.
See-Saw's "Sarigiwa no Romantics" (去り際のロマンティクス), the ending theme for the film Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM, appears on an album for the first time. FictionJunction's "Distance," the ending theme for the SEED HD remaster, is included on a SEED-related album for the first time. Track 15 is listed only as a new song, with its artist not yet determined.
The rest of the album draws on Mobile Suit Gundam SEED and SEED DESTINY:
- See-Saw: "Anna ni Issho Datta no ni" (ending theme for SEED's first cour) and "Kimi wa Boku ni Niteiru" (ending theme for DESTINY's fourth cour).
- FictionJunction YUUKA: "Akatsuki no Kuruma," a SEED insert song and ending theme, and "Homura no Tobira," a DESTINY insert song.
- Rie Tanaka: five insert songs credited to her characters: "Shizuka na Yoru ni," "Mizu no Akashi," "Fields of hope," "Quiet Night C.E.73" and "EMOTION."
- Other tracks: "Life Goes On," the ending theme for DESTINY's second cour, and lisa's "tears," the ending theme for DESTINY Special Edition 2.
