A Metallic Red Frame Built for the Final Battle
The G Frame FA line is Bandai's candy-toy figure series, known for packing detailed sculpts and a wide range of articulation into palm-sized figures. According to the Anime Anime report, this release keeps that formula intact while wrapping the Destiny Gundam Spec II in a colorway that imagines the suit running at maximum output during the film's climactic fight.
That means a metallic red frame, beam sword blades cast in metallic pink, and the Voiture Lumière "Wings of Light" recreated with clear effect parts. The signature weapons come in the box too: the MMI-714 Arondight anti-ship sword and the M2000GX high-energy long-range beam cannon, both sculpted with an emphasis on silhouette so they read clearly at this scale.
Because G Frame FA is technically a candy toy, the ¥6,545 mobile suit also ships with a single piece of soda-flavored gum.
The Mobile Suit Shinn Brought Back From the Scrap Heap
The Spec II (model number ZGMF/A-42S2) is the rebuilt version of the Destiny Gundam that returned in Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM, the January 26, 2024 film that became the highest-grossing theatrically released Gundam movie to date. The Gundam SEED series takes place in the Cosmic Era, a setting where genetically adjusted Coordinators and naturally born Naturals coexist. The original series debuted in 2002, with Mobile Suit Gundam SEED DESTINY following as the second entry.
In the film's continuity, the Destiny had been knocked out of commission after years of hard fighting. Engineer Erica and her team at Morgenroete rebuilt it with a new fusion reactor for extra power and repainted it in the colors of Compass, the peacekeeping organization Shinn serves in the movie. The VPS armor now shifts to a red-orange tint, and Shinn Asuka climbs back into the cockpit just like before.
The figure's final-battle color scheme takes that already-striking redesign and pushes it further, which is why Bandai calls the metallic red frame a snapshot of the suit at full power.

The G Frame FA Destiny Gundam Spec II [Final Battle Image Color] is priced at ¥6,545 (tax included) and is slated to ship in March 2027 through Premium Bandai, Bandai's web shop for made-to-order exclusives. The figure stands about 110mm tall, is molded in ABS and MABS, requires some assembly, and is aimed at collectors 15 and up.
Bandai has also confirmed that the pre-upgrade Destiny Gundam is coming to the G Frame FA line, so collectors will be able to display Shinn's original DESTINY-era machine next to its FREEDOM-era rebuild. The source doesn't say whether either figure will be offered through Premium Bandai's international storefronts, so import services may be the safest bet for overseas buyers for now.
