KADOKAWA announced on October 3, 2026, that Dorei kara no Kitai to Hyōka no Sei de Sakushu Dekinai no da ga, a novel series from its Dengeki no Shinbungei label, will be adapted as a TV anime. The announcement came during Dengeki Bunko's autumn online event, powered by ABEMA, according to a KADOKAWA Group portal notice.

The title roughly translates as "I Can't Exploit My Slaves Because of Their Expectations and High Opinion of Me" (unofficial translation). KADOKAWA released what it calls a "super ultra teaser visual" with the announcement and said more information will follow. The notice gives no broadcast date, staff or cast.

The series follows Allen, a boy who was reincarnated after a goddess gave him the cheat ability Regeneration. A string of misunderstandings has left him ruling as the Demon Lord of Sloth and general manager. KADOKAWA describes the series as a fantasy about territory development that runs on its own, set off by misunderstandings.

The fifth volume went on sale on October 16, 2026, for ¥1,980 including tax. In it, Allen wants to work in the field but is stuck in his office watching his slaves do the work. He still hasn't given up on a harem, so he opens a fortune-telling house and plans to steer girls into confessing to him. Instead, the house is taken over, and a plan for Allen to confess gets underway.

Dengeki no Shinbungei is a book label for novels that began on the web. KADOKAWA launched it in January 2019.
