Kokamumo's four-panel manga Nurumeta is getting a TV anime that will begin airing in 2027, Comic Natalie reported on October 18, 2026. The main staff and a teaser visual were revealed with the announcement.

Kai Ikarashi, director of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2, will make his TV anime directing debut on the series. Tatsuya Takahashi (The Idolmaster Cinderella Girls) is handling series composition. The character designer's previous credits include Pokémon Sword and Shield. Soigne, the studio behind mono, is handling animation production.

The manga follows the unpredictable daily lives of four girls: the android Kurumi; her guardian Chiaki, a slightly unhinged high school girl; Chiaki's cool childhood friend Sakina; and Shiyuki, the polite voice of common sense. Comic Natalie describes it as an alternative take on everyday life that goes beyond the usual slice-of-life formula. The manga runs in Houbunsha's Manga Time Kirara Max, and six volumes have been published so far.

The reveal follows an Aniplex announcement on October 15 of a new TV anime, which shared Ikarashi's name and a preview video before the title was revealed.

Kokamumo and Ikarashi both commented on the news. Kokamumo thanked every reader and said they look forward to the day Kurumi and the others' days can reach fans as animation. Ikarashi said he will do his best to deliver a fun anime.
