Manga editor Shihei Lin (林士平) says his company, Mix Green, will handle the supervision and production of the anime adaptations and spin-off products of the four Shonen Jump+ series he edits, days after Shueisha announced the end of its outsourcing relationship with him. Lin made the remarks in an interview with the French outlet L'Internaute, as relayed in a Yahoo! News expert column by anime writer Kiyoshi Tane.
The Shonen Jump+ editorial department announced the split on September 30, 2026, according to Anime News Network. Shueisha's statement said it had ended its commissioning of editorial and related work to Mix Green as of July 31, 2026, and that the Jump+ titles it had asked Lin to handle will continue serialization on Jump+ under a new structure (Dengeki Online). Speaking for Mix Green, Lin said the company has direct contracts with the respective authors of four of those titles and will keep handling their editorial work: Tatsuya Endō's SPY×FAMILY, Yukinobu Tatsu's Dandadan, Tohru Kuramori's Centuria and Hakuri's WITCHRIV.
A credit reflecting that arrangement is already in use. Toho's official site for the SPY×FAMILY musical carries the line "©遠藤達哉/ミックスグリーン・東宝" — Tatsuya Endō, with Mix Green and Toho.
Tane's column also reports Lin's plan for a Mix Green app of its own in the future: for works serialized there, distribution would be entrusted to whichever publisher suits each country and each title. Tane reads that as positioning publishers as partners for distribution rather than handing them a work's rights in full.
Shueisha, meanwhile, reported that business revenue topped ¥110 billion and exceeded publishing sales for the first time, on total sales of ¥228.954 billion, down 0.1 percent year on year, according to Shinbunka Online. Tane cites those figures as the backdrop to Lin and Mix Green moving deeper into the anime and merchandise side of manga.
