Turbo Granny and the Serpo aliens from the TV anime DANDADAN appeared at SOFA (Salón del Ocio y la Fantasía), a pop culture event held October 8–12, 2026, in Bogotá, Colombia. According to an Animedia report, the DANDADAN booth was part of MBS's overseas initiatives and was the broadcaster's first event booth in Colombia.
Animedia describes SOFA as Colombia's largest pop culture event and the second-largest in South America. An Anime!Anime! report says it typically draws more than 200,000 visitors a year.
The two characters drew loud cheers from the crowd, and visitors kept lining up for commemorative photos without a break, according to Anime!Anime! and ORICON NEWS. The booth handed out masks shaped like DANDADAN characters, and Anime!Anime! reports that fans wearing them filled the venue.
The booth also showed limited "local" versions of Turbo Granny themed on individual countries and cities, which only visitors to the venue could access.
