A White Clover Farewell for Maomao Day
Since July 2024, the official Apothecary Diaries anime accounts have published a new illustration on the 22nd of every month. The campaign, titled "Maomao and Jinshi's Journey Through the Four Seasons" (猫猫、壬氏と巡る四季), paired the series' two leads with a different seasonal plant each month. The final entry arrived today.
The June visual shows Maomao holding white clover under a blue sky, teaching Jinshi how to braid a flower crown. The pastoral image closes a campaign built on seasonal charm. Japanese entertainment news site Comic Natalie first published the visual alongside a reveal video on the TOHO animation YouTube channel.
Previous months featured iris in May, peony in April, and magnolia in March, each spotlighting different characters. The June visual returns to Maomao and Jinshi together for the series' send-off.
Free Wallpapers, a Giveaway, and a New LINE App
The official Apothecary Diaries website is distributing free PC and smartphone wallpapers using the June visual. On X, the @kusuriya_PR account is running a lottery for five limited-edition cards featuring the same artwork.
Also launching today is a LINE mini app called "Help Maomao! Maomao's Herb Notebook" (猫猫のお手伝いをしよう！猫猫の薬草手帖). The app lives inside the anime's official LINE account. No details on gameplay or features were provided in the announcement.
Looking Ahead
The Apothecary Diaries Season 3 is set to premiere in October 2026, with director Akinori Fudesaka returning after helming Season 2. A theatrical film with an original story has also been announced for December 2026. Crunchyroll holds international streaming rights and has confirmed it will carry Season 3 in North America, Europe, and other territories.
For readers who want to get ahead of the anime, the source light novels are available digitally in English through J-Novel Club, and Square Enix Manga & Books publishes the manga adaptation in print. Both are well past where the anime currently stands.
The two-year visual campaign is over, but the franchise has a packed calendar ahead.
