Three Voice Actors Step Into the Otome Game

The first PV for Yowaki MAX Reijou introduces character voices for all three newcomers alongside fresh animation cuts.

Rina Hidaka (Silica in Sword Art Online, Filo in The Rising of the Shield Hero) plays Caroline Ramsey (キャロライン・ラムゼー), the heroine of an in-universe otome game that protagonist Pia obsessively plays. Sora Amamiya (Aqua in KonoSuba) voices Erin White (エリン・ホワイト), a noblewoman engaged to Henry Cox. And Haruki Ishiya (石谷春貴) takes on the role of Henry Cox (ヘンリー・コックス), Erin's fiancé — who, per the otome game's script, finds himself increasingly drawn to Caroline instead.

The love-triangle setup creates an immediate tension: Erin and Henry are engaged, but the in-game narrative is pulling Henry toward the otome heroine. How protagonist Pia and her own fiancé Rufus navigate this scripted drama is the show's central hook.

They join previously announced leads Miku Itō as Pia Rockwell and Ryōta Ōsaka as Rufus Stan, both returning from the franchise's voice drama.

What Yowaki MAX Is About

For those unfamiliar with the source material, the full title — Yowaki MAX Reijou Nanoni, Ratsuwan Konyakusha-sama no Kake ni Notte Shimatta (弱気MAX令嬢なのに、辣腕婚約者様の賭けに乗ってしまった) — roughly translates to "I'm a Super-Timid Villainess, but I Took My Shrewd Fiancé's Bet." It's a villainess isekai romantic comedy based on the light novel by Oda Hiro, published under KADOKAWA's B's-LOG Bunko imprint with character designs by Tsubasa.v and a manga adaptation by Murata Aji.

The premise: the protagonist reincarnates as Pia, a mob villainess in an otome game world, and despite her cripplingly timid personality, gets swept up in the schemes of her fiancé Rufus — the prime minister's son and a sharp operator. The series bills itself as a "villainess-type doting love comedy," leaning hard into the gap between Pia's anxiety and Rufus's overprotective devotion.

The Cast Speaks

In comments released alongside the PV, Hidaka teased that the series delivers plenty of sweet moments but also has a mystery-solving element. She described Caroline as the heroine of "MajiCaro" — the in-universe otome game Pia frequently plays — and hinted at interesting dynamics as Caroline crosses paths with Pia's circle.

Amamiya described Erin as a noblewoman who defies expectations — lively, straightforward, and devoted to swordsmanship, but who shows a softer side around her fiancé Henry. She highlighted the warm friendship scenes between Erin and Pia as a particular draw.

Ishiya called Henry "endlessly bright and honest to a fault," adding that despite seeming carefree, Henry observes people in his own way. He singled out Henry and Erin's relationship as his personal favorite element.

Staff and Studio

Nobuaki Nakanishi directs at Jumondō, the studio behind Villainess Level 99: I May Be the Hidden Boss but I'm Not the Demon Lord. Yūko Fukuda handles series composition, with character designs by 崔炫植. The production is rounded out by sound director Jin Aketagawa and a music team of 日向萌 and 濱田菜月, with KADOKAWA overseeing music production.

The Jumondō connection is worth noting — having already adapted one villainess isekai light novel, the studio has recent genre experience that could serve this material well.

Looking Ahead

Yowaki MAX Reijou premieres in October 2026. No specific day or broadcast slot has been announced yet. International streaming partners haven't been confirmed, though KADOKAWA titles frequently land on Crunchyroll — no word yet on whether that holds here.

The source light novel does not currently have an official English-language release. Fans interested in the manga adaptation can find it serialized on KADOKAWA's Comic Walker platform.

With the first PV now public and the core cast locked in, the next milestones to watch for are a broadcast date, an opening-theme reveal, and international distribution details as the October premiere approaches.
