SPY x FAMILY Season 3 Ending Theme Gets Music Video Starring Mirai Moriyama

Singer-songwriter Ikura Lilas, widely recognized as the vocalist of YOASOBI, will premiere the music video for "Actor," the ending theme song for SPY x FAMILY Season 3, on October 29, 2025 at 8:00 PM JST on YouTube.

Written specifically for SPY x FAMILY Season 3, "Actor" explores the emotions and kindness hidden beneath the roles everyone plays in daily life. The song captures a warm, heartfelt quality that resonates with the series' themes of hidden identities and genuine connection.

The music video features a remarkable collaboration with Mirai Moriyama, an acclaimed actor and dancer whose previous work with Ikura includes the 2023-2025 Fuji TV drama and film "Paripi Koumei." Ikura personally approached Moriyama for this project, resulting in their first music video collaboration.

Set against a beautiful pink-toned world, the video showcases Moriyama's captivating dance performance throughout its entirety. His movements delicately yet powerfully express the gentleness embedded in the song, along with the underlying struggles and conflicts that lie beneath. Director Tomoyuki Shimura, a filmmaker, choreographer, and director who has worked with artists including Vaundy, Wednesday Campanella, MONDO GROSSO, CHAI, and Akaikoen, helms the production. This marks Shimura and Ikura's reunion approximately three years after collaborating on her 2022 music video "Lens."

The physical CD single, also releasing October 29, 2025, features SPY x FAMILY-themed packaging designed to resemble an investigation report. The limited production edition includes an envelope containing a binder adorned with original anime illustrations, creating a luxurious package for collectors.

In her statement, Ikura reflected on the song's themes: "Everyone lives as an 'Actor,' playing various roles daily, which simultaneously means we all have faces we never show anyone. The promises we make to ourselves, the feelings we hold for our loved ones, the beliefs we wish to protect—these thoughts burning in the depths of each person's heart, and the determination to fulfill those roles, cannot be simply dismissed as falsehood. They are made of genuine humanity and love."

She expressed profound admiration for Moriyama's performance: "Mr. Moriyama, as an actor himself, delicately expressed the duality within people and the loneliness lurking beneath through his body alone. During filming, I was so captivated by every movement, expression, and breath that I forgot to blink. I felt like I witnessed his way of living through how richly he embodied humanity itself. I truly believe this song reached its complete form through Mr. Moriyama's dance."

Moriyama commented on the collaboration: "I appeared in 'Paripi Koumei,' where Ms. Ikura handled the music, so when she reached out directly with a message, I accepted wondering if I could be of any help. I wondered how my presence would match Ms. Ikura's truly sparkling pop song, but the visuals are very beautiful, so I hope everyone enjoys watching."

Director Shimura shared his experience: "While listening to Lira's crystal-clear music daily and thinking about the scenery, I received energy every day. I never thought there would be a day in my life when I'd work with Mr. Moriyama, and I certainly never predicted we'd collaborate on this kind of project, so the days leading up to filming and the actual filming day itself were incredibly nerve-wracking. The choreography tells the story of a single flamingo clown dancing through life's major milestones."

"Actor" was initially released digitally on October 11, 2025, with lyrics and composition by Ikura Lilas and arrangement by Haruyuki Inoue. The physical CD single includes three tracks: "Actor," "Actor -Anime Edit-," and "Actor -Instrumental-," priced at 2,800 yen for the complete limited production edition.
