SEGA has scheduled Season Pass 2, the latest DLC for the racing game Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, for release on November 4, 2026, starting with the Godzilla Pack. The second pack, the Evangelion Pack, is due in January 2027, according to a 4Gamer hands-on preview published on October 10, 2026.
4Gamer played the new courses from both packs ahead of release and notes that its screenshots come from a build still in development. Godzilla Escape, the course in the Godzilla Pack, takes a different approach from earlier collaboration courses: Godzilla attacks City Escape, a stage from Sonic Adventure 2. Its default background music is "Godzilla Escape," an arrangement of "Escape From The City." The pack also adds three machines: Godzilla Cruiser, King Ghidorah Coupe and Mothra Surf.
The Evangelion Pack adds the course 第3新東京市, which SEGA's English announcement calls Tokyo-III. The route runs from the city center seen in the anime out to suburbs sunk beneath a red sea, with the Sixth Angel appearing overhead and firing a beam at the course. The final lap uses the banked stretch where EVA-01 runs to stop the Eighth Angel. Rei Ayanami and Asuka Shikinami Langley join as racers, along with the EVA-01, EVA-00 and EVA-02 machines.
A free update adds a mode called Duel. Players fill a Duel Dash gauge and, once it is full, can run at high speed until the gauge empties; the gauge rises faster the further behind a player is. Players fight a rival three times, and clearing Rival Duel unlocks Bayonetta. The free update also adds Aigis and a McLaren Racing version of Sonic.
Buying Season Pass 2 comes with three machines based on SEGA hardware: Dreamcast EU, Sega Saturn JP and Genesis Tower US. SEGA's English announcement says four more crossover packs have yet to be revealed.
Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds released on September 25, 2025. 4Gamer lists it for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, PS4, Xbox One, PC and Nintendo Switch 2.
