Nijisanji VTuber Mashiro Meme Gets Manga Adaptation in Weekly Shonen Champion

Nijisanji VTuber Mashiro Meme is getting a manga adaptation that brings his popular horror content to print, with serialization beginning in Weekly Shonen Champion magazine in January 2026.

The manga adaptation draws inspiration from Mashiro Meme's signature YouTube livestreams where he reads scary stories submitted by viewers. Artist nyo-n will craft original horror tales for the series, presenting them through an omnibus format that incorporates the viewer's perspective. The story follows an ordinary person who stumbles upon Mashiro's stream one day, only to find themselves drawn into increasingly unsettling situations.

A teaser promotional video for the manga, titled "Mashiro-kun," premiered on the official Nijisanji YouTube channel to coincide with the announcement. The project is planned by ANYCOLOR Inc., supervised by Mashiro Meme himself, and illustrated by nyo-n.

Mashiro Meme is a VTuber under the Nijisanji agency known for his horror-themed content. According to his official profile, he has fragmentary memories and wanders late at night searching for urban legends, repeatedly escaping from an unnamed organization that captures him. His YouTube channel features various horror-related streams that have built a dedicated fanbase.

The Nijisanji project currently hosts approximately 150 VTubers and virtual influencers across various streaming platforms, primarily YouTube. The agency is operated by ANYCOLOR Inc., an entertainment startup founded in May 2017. Weekly Shonen Champion is published by Akita Shoten, a major Japanese manga publisher established in 1948.

Updates regarding the manga adaptation will be shared through Nijisanji's official social media accounts and Weekly Shonen Champion's editorial department.
