CLAMP's Magic Knight Rayearth is scheduled to begin airing as a new TV anime on October 7, 2026, Wednesdays at 11:45 p.m. JST on the TV Asahi network's "IMAnimation W" block, running for two consecutive cours. Streaming starts the next day, October 8, from Thursdays at 12:15 a.m. JST, with episodes added sequentially, according to GAME Watch.
GAME Watch describes the project as a revival of the anime based on the manga CLAMP serialized in Nakayoshi, and as the first Rayearth anime in more than 30 years, following the 1994 TV series.
The story follows three middle school students, Hikaru Shidō, Umi Ryūzaki and Fū Hōōji, who are summoned from Tokyo Tower to the other world of Cephiro while on a school field trip. There they learn that Princess Emeraude, who has guarded Cephiro's peace and order with the power of prayer, has been taken captive and that the world is in crisis.
Yui Miura directs the series at E&H production, per the anime's official staff and cast page. Ayane Sakura voices Hikaru, Rumi Ōkubo voices Umi and Rie Takahashi voices Fū, according to Anime! Anime!.
Toaka performs the opening theme and Kawaguchi Yurina the ending theme. The official site's music page lists digital releases of the opening song on October 14, 2026 and the ending song on October 15.
