A Million Downloads in Its First Week
HiroSaba, the Japanese shorthand for My Hero Academia UNITED SURVIVAL, got to this milestone fast. KLab launched the game worldwide on August 6, 2026, and according to Japanese anime news site Anime Anime, downloads crossed the 1 million mark within a week. The game had momentum before it even went live: global pre-registrations topped 1 million, and KLab says the game reached No. 1 on the App Store's top free games chart shortly after release.
Co-developed by KLab and gumi, the game is available on the App Store, Google Play, and Windows PC. It runs free-to-play with in-app purchases and is distributed worldwide, with mainland China the one exception.
Free Gacha Tickets and a Shoot Style Deku
The celebration campaign runs from August 13 through 11:59 p.m. JST on August 31, 2026. The centerpiece is a 1 Million Download Login Bonus that hands out gacha tickets across four days of logins during the period.
Alongside it, KLab is running the "Atarashii Jibun" pickup gacha (the name roughly means "a new me"). The banner features a new SR Izuku Midoriya card, 鉄の脚撃 (roughly "Iron Leg Strike"), together with the LR collection item Shoot Style!!. Per the announcement, the SR Deku is a close-range attacker who cuts through enemy lines with quick strikes. His sweeping kicks have a chance to knock enemies back, letting him hold his own even when surrounded. The kit matches its namesake: Shoot Style is the kick-based fighting style Deku develops in the series to spare his battered arms. A character introduction video for the card is also out on the official KLabGames YouTube channel.
The Franchise Behind the Numbers
The game adapts Kohei Horikoshi's My Hero Academia, which wrapped a ten-year serialization in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump and has over 100 million copies in circulation worldwide. The story is set in a world where superpowers called Quirks are the norm. Izuku Midoriya, nicknamed Deku, enrolls at the elite hero academy U.A. High and grows alongside his classmates on the way to becoming a hero who protects society from villains abusing their Quirks.
Looking Ahead
The login bonus and pickup gacha both close at 11:59 p.m. JST on August 31, 2026, so players have just under three weeks to collect the tickets and chase the new Deku. The game is already live internationally on iOS, Android, and Windows PC everywhere except mainland China. What comes after the campaign hasn't been announced, but KLab posts updates through the game's official X account.
