Heroes and Villains, Off Duty

The hook for round two is the art. According to Anime Anime's report on the campaign, Karaoke Manekineko, a Japanese karaoke chain, commissioned a newly drawn key visual specifically for this collaboration, and it swaps the U.A. uniforms and hero costumes for street clothes. The Japanese headline frames it as Deku, Bakugo and Todoroki hitting karaoke in their own outfits.

It's not just the hero side, either. The drink lineup Anime Anime lists includes Tomura Shigaraki and Dabi, so the League of Villains gets the casual-wear treatment too. The Anime Anime piece names five characters for a six-drink menu; Japanese fan-news site nijimen fills in the sixth as Himiko Toga, which matches the six-character acrylic stand count.

The timing lands after the story itself has wrapped. The manga by Kohei Horikoshi ran in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump and has passed 100 million copies in circulation. The TV anime started in 2016 and closed out in December 2025 with the finale of its FINAL SEASON, ending the run at eight seasons and 170 episodes. With no new episodes on the schedule, campaigns like this one are how the franchise keeps showing up in Japan right now.

What's on the Shelf

The goods lineup is standard karaoke-collab fare, all using the new visual. Prices include tax:

  • Acrylic stands, six designs, ¥1,870 each. These are the only non-random items, so you can pick your character.
  • Mini acrylic stands, ¥880. Random, but split into two sets (A and B) of eight designs each, and you choose which set to pull from.
  • Can badges, six designs, ¥550, random.
  • Clear cards, ten designs, ¥550, random.

You don't have to walk into a karaoke box to buy them. The Manekineko official online shop is taking orders from 1:00 p.m. on September 17 until 11:59 p.m. on November 8, the same window as the in-store campaign.

The Drink Menu

Seven drinks total, all non-alcoholic. Six are character drinks at ¥700 each, themed around Midoriya, Bakugo, Todoroki, Shigaraki, Dabi and a sixth character. Every character drink ordered comes with one random coaster, again split into A and B sets of eight designs so you can at least steer toward the half of the lineup you want.

The seventh is a ¥880 special drink built around the series as a whole rather than one character: rouge jelly in orange juice. Order one and you get a random foil-stamped mini card from a set of six.

The coaster and mini-card bonuses are where the real collecting happens. Sixteen coaster designs across two sets means a full run takes a lot of ¥700 drinks, which is exactly how these karaoke tie-ins are built.

Looking Ahead

The campaign runs through November 8, 2026 at participating Karaoke Manekineko locations in Japan, with the online shop closing the same night. Anime Anime does not mention any international shipping for the online store, so overseas fans will likely need a proxy service.

The full anime run through the FINAL SEASON streams on Crunchyroll in English-speaking regions, and Viz Media publishes Horikoshi's manga in English, with the complete series also available on the Shonen Jump app and Manga Plus. The FINAL SEASON's main trailer from TOHO animation is still up on YouTube if you want a reminder of how the anime signed off.
