Gold-Rank Spies and a Father's Twisted Love
The first cour wrapped its run on June 28 with the reveal of Yozakura Momo's true intentions. The Yozakura siblings' father, whose distorted love has been tearing the family apart, now poses a threat that extends beyond the household to the Spy Association itself. When the second cour picks up in October, Gold-rank spies will finally make their entrance as Momo continues to manipulate his children's fate.
Silver Link (Bofuri, The Misfit of Demon King Academy) is producing the adaptation under director Takahiro Nakatsugawa, with series creator Mirai Minato serving as chief director.
About the Series
Mission: Yozakura Family follows Taiyo Asano, a high schooler who lost his family in an accident and withdrew from the world. He ends up living with the Yozakura household, a storied spy clan, in what the source manga bills as a "love-and-laughs spy family comedy." The original manga by Hitsuji Gondaira ran in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump from August 2019 through January 2025, totaling over 3.6 million copies in circulation.
The anime's second season began its first cour on April 12 and aired through June 28, covering the aftermath of the Tanpopo arc and Taiyo and Mutsumi's wedding reception before plunging into the Momo conflict.
