The Miya Twins Bring Inarizaki to the Grill
Ikinari Steak, a Japanese steakhouse chain known for serving thick-cut steaks fast at standing counters, is getting a full Haikyu!! makeover this summer. The collab, cleverly branded "Inarizaki! Steak" (a play on the restaurant's name and the fictional school), spotlights six members of Inarizaki High: twins Atsumu and Osamu Miya, Rintarō Suna, Aran Ojiro, Shinsuke Kita, and Hitoshi Ginjima. All six appear in newly drawn illustrations created for the campaign.
Inarizaki is one of the most popular rival schools in Haruichi Furudate's volleyball manga, and the Miya twins in particular have become fan favorites since their anime debut. Giving the squad its own branded restaurant event is a step up from typical acrylic-stand merch drops.
What's on the Menu
Three limited-time steak combos anchor the collab, each themed around the Inarizaki roster:
- Twins Combo (Wild Steak & Filet Cut), named for the Miya brothers
- 3rd Years Steak (Filet Cut Steak), representing Kita, Ojiro, and the senior class
- 2nd Years Steak (Wild Steak), for the underclassmen including Atsumu and Suna
Every collab menu item includes a special topping and a bonus collectible card. The card lineup rotates midway through the event: "name tag" style cards (six designs, random) run from July 17 to August 4, swapping to "visual cards" (six designs, random) from August 5 to August 23.
Beyond the food, diners get Inarizaki-branded paper aprons during the collab period. Members who show the Ikinari Steak app at checkout also receive an exclusive smartphone wallpaper featuring the new illustrations.
Wrapped Stores and Merch
Five locations across Japan's major cities are getting a full Haikyu!! interior makeover: Ikebukuro Nishiguchi and Kanda Kitaguchi in Tokyo, Nagoya Osu, Osaka Fukushima, and Sendai. These wrapped stores double as merch hubs, selling a lineup of collab-exclusive goods:
- Acrylic stands (¥1,870 / ~$12)
- Mochikororin plushies (¥1,320 / ~$9, random)
- Acrylic keychains (¥770 / ~$5, random)
- Can badges (¥550 / ~$4, random)
- Pola shot collection cards (¥500 / ~$3, random)
- Clear files (¥550 / ~$4)
Acrylic stands are also available at select non-wrapped stores. In total, 168 Ikinari Steak locations participate in the food collab, with 60 carrying merchandise.
Looking Ahead
The Inarizaki steak takeover lands during a busy stretch for the Haikyu!! franchise. The 2024 film Haikyu!! The Dumpster Battle surpassed ¥20 billion (approx. $130 million) at the worldwide box office, and two more projects are confirmed for 2027: a second theatrical film, Haikyu!! VS The Little Giant, covering the Karasuno vs. Kamomedai quarterfinal, and a special anime, Haikyu!! Where the Monsters Go, depicting Fukurodani vs. Mujinazaka.
For international fans, the collab is Japan-only with no announced overseas component. Ikinari Steak once operated locations in New York but has since pulled back to domestic stores. The source manga is published in English by Viz Media, and all four TV anime seasons plus The Dumpster Battle are available on Crunchyroll.
Haikyu!! merchandise collaborations have been rolling out steadily in 2026, with recent tie-ups including an Arinamin vitamin drink campaign featuring the "Third Gym" crew. The Inarizaki steak event runs from July 17 through August 23, 2026.
